How about we all try and remember that we are watching grown men play a.... GAME!!

We aren't watching life or death, we aren't watching CNN war coverage, we aren't watching the towers fall or the housing market collapse.....We watch a GAME

The Miami Dolphins are a football team that plays a GAME..... It's not as if lives depend on the outcome of these games.....happiness or sadness is inexplicably tied to wins and losses with a lot of you guys and it gets downright scary watching some people freak out over a GAME that they aren't involved in playing.

Saban isn't going to lose his mind because he lost a GAME...because Saban has proper perspective.

That's not to say it doesn't bother him and that he doesn't care if he wins or loses....i guarantee that he cares more than any of you....but should he lose a game, a season, or a team.....you'll never see him act as if the world is coming to an end....you know why.....because it's not.........it's not real...once one team loses, they don't disappear into oblivion....once a team has a losing season, they don't bannish them from the league forever......they just play again next week, or next year....no reason to lose your sanity....

it's just a GAME.

Speak for yourself sir. The Dolphins can ruin my ENTIRE week. One week can turn to two, so on an so forth. I can't help it. I wish it wasn't so.

of course he wont react like that, he doesnt invest money into the team.

well, I can't deny that I used to be like that too but, I started realizing how silly it was for me to let a football team's game effect my own personal happiness.

You know how I came to that conclusion?.....Try explaining to someone who doesn't care about football, why losing a football game effects you so much. You'll find out quickly how silly it all sounds by the look on their face.

Correct. Can you guys imagine watching the game when u are part of the team and have actual hands-on reponsibilities that reflect on your everyday life. To be a fan is hard enough right now but the weight on Sabans shoulders is massive. Let the guy coach and let him release/bring in players he wants to get the results he wants but its going to be a 2-3 yr thing before we see SABANS team. This season maybe just a learning curve and we have to go through the downs before we can reach the ups and heights we all want to get back to.

So, you're only concerned about the money you spend.....Try this....don't spend any money on the team....just watch them for free.

hey when they start airing the dolphins games in NJ, ill be happy to watch them for free

I wish I could give up the Sunday Ticket. I am able to get over a loss pretty soon after the actual game is over. I scream at the TV and claim to want everyone cut, but about 10 mins after the game i am fine.

That sounds about normal.

now, juxtapose that to the fact that it's Wednesday and the board is still full of people losing their grip on sanity because the team lost on Sunday.

anything else you wanna point out captain obvious?

wanna point out I have 300 other channels? a radio? that I can go out and do non football things? read a book?

I completely know what you're talking about. The only sport my closest friends are into is fishing, if you can call that a sport, so when I relate to them I always ask them to imagine what if every Sunday they'd go out fishing they'd have one of those days where nothing goes right. Then that look of horror oozes across their face and only then can they comprehend. To each his own.

Not just losing on Sunday, but because our record is 1-6. It is very frustrating to see our team losing.

Alot of Die Hard fans take losing hard, we feel it probably as much as Saban does, if not more. Yeah, it's a game, but like when you play Football in HS or College, hell even on Thanksgiving with your neighborhood buddies and your team loses, it sucks.

I hear where your coming from infinsible, but some fans react differently than others.
