Now this will get me bashed, people will probably vote this a 1 star thread, but I have a CRAZY idea that might just be worth considering.

Instead of bashing whatever hire Ireland and Ross make, now... here me out... maybe we should wait till the coach has a draft and starts coaching games BEFORE we consider them failures.

Again, it's a crazy way of thinking I know, and people are going to call me a homer or an idiot, or a blind sheep or whatever but there's no reason to hate somebody before they get a chance to show what they can do.

Of course, I'm preaching to some people who are calling our front office idiots because they passed on a 3rd round QB whose 3rd on his team's depth chart and probably won't play for 2 or 3 years if that.

Look I understand the skepticism, but we have no idea how any of these guys will do as head coach.

But again, that's just me. I'm just trying to be open minded.

I like my monkey idea better but the mods have itchy trigger fingers and I guess didn't find the "humor" in it so they moved it to the spam folder in about one minute after posting it.

Because God knows this has been the model franchise of the NFL for decades now, no need to go bashing them about how they do their business or anything. I'm sure this hire will be "the one". No more 1-15, 4-12 or 6-10 for us, Todd's taking us places.

I can understand where your coming from. I'm one of those guys who don't care for the list of guys.
I should take a different aproach to this whole thing, but like all Fins fans I'm tired of losing, losing to teams like Denver and Cleveland.
Never fixing the QB problem, wasting draft picks and passing on players who could help this team succeed.
This front office at times seems to care less about how to really fix the problems around here.
Its like trying to fix a hole in your roof with duct tape, it might work for a little while but its not really fixed.
Winning solves everything, but they have shown no signs of really wanting to win.

Even if it's Todd Bowles, I will give him the benefit of the doubt until he demonstrates that he's a bad coach.

There's a lot of potential upside if it's Mike McCoy. He's a former QB, so he understands that position, and he's young. If he turns out to be a good coach, he could be a real home run.

I'm not happy with the final three, but to throw my arms up in the air and call it a year is idiotic. I have no choice but to see what they can do. Doesn't mean I'm happy with it, but wins will turn my frown upside down.

I'm giving Ross the benefit of the doubt. He tried to hire Harbaugh (that seems like it would have been a wise choice), he wanted to hire Fisher (another seemingly good choice) and he has yet to hire his first head coach. I agree, let's give him some support instead of bashing him before he has even hired one of his own.

GO PHINS~!

Remember, the people on this board that are bashing the coaching candidates are the same people that bashed the Dolphins for not drafting Brady Quinn, or trading up for Blaine Gabbart, and yes, not drafting the weekly inactive #3 QB for the Patriots, Ryan Mallett......

Whoever it is, gets my support until demonstrating they don't deserve it.

So blind faith despite repeatedly bad choices for years in the FO is the request? I tried doing that a few years ago to have them draft a kick returner in the first round. Then give a lame duck coach an extention after embarassingly missing out on the top coaching prospect, etc. etc. Fool me once . . . shame on you, fool me 35 times . . . . woe is me.

lol probably makes a mod's job easier.... I wanted to kill myself having to moderate the John Beck threads.

The do/dont SFL threads and an average shouright thread arent any better...nearly just went nuts and deleted entire threads couple of times.

The OP sure knows how to suck the life out of a lynch mob.

nah...we've got our pitch forks ready and we've found a sturdy tree that can support a rope...

it's damn hard for me to get excited about these 3 guys when at least in my eyes all 3 should at best be looking at coordinator jobs in 2012...
