let just say Henne doesnt perform too well the last 2 games. Does the Fo open up the possibility of Chad P again??
Honestly, I like Henne, hes a rookie with great promise. I like Chad P also,
I just wanted to see what your thoughts were.
I prefer not to go back to Chad P myself, but keep him as a back-up and coach type player

Ya let's give up on Henne already!

Pennington would love to come back and play here so every mistake he makes could be questioned with could Henne do better?, should Henne now come in? etc...

He won't want anything to do with Miami, he'll want a chance to start somewhere, which is what he deserves!

For Pennington to get re-signed 3 things would need to happen

- he has to get his shoulder properly fixed and prove he can still throw
- Thigpen would have to have flopped in practice so far
- no other teams offer him a likely starting job

I wouldn't write off Pennington - he's very determined / stubborn - and also don't underestimate how much the Dolphins liked him - Henne has yet to play consistently to Pennington's level in their eyes. But overall it seems unlikely he'll be back

I have nothing but respect for what Pennington did for the Dolphins last year. He is a class act and I wish him the best in whatever he does. I don't think he can be a starter anymore with his shoulder. Who can trust that shoulder to stay healthy for a whole season at this point? It wasn't a vicious hit that took him down this season, watch the replay.

Henne is the guy for next year. The question is can he handle the pressure of going into a NFL season as the starter? We'll know soon enough.

If Henne bombs in his next 2 games we need to keep a spot open for another QB. I'm thinking more of a mid to late round developmental pick to give Henne some competition down the road.

your sounding like you want Henne to bomb......Henne is hear to stay ...now we need to get him some weapons....the kid has done alot of good things.......

not me, I like Henne alot, I think his is for real and will be great! I am really asking what do you think the FO mindset is?

They won't bring back Pennington but look for somebody like Rusty Smith to be taken with a 6th or 7th round pick.

White could be traded in this uncapped year.

Pennington's done, he's a class act but he's too old and too injury prone. Henne is already playing as well as or better than Pennington was and still has a huge upside to him. It really baffles me how anyone could want to replace Henne... I mean are we watching the same games? If your looking for a QB that doesn't throw INT's your gonna be looking for the rest of your life because they all do...Peyton, Brady, Rivers every one of them and they have a hell of alot more talented recievers to work with than Henne does. There is no such thing as a QB that doesn't throw INT's. Henne has done freakin incredible considering the talent he's had to work with. I really don't understand how anyone could not be ecstatic about our future with this guy as our QB.

I'm sure the mindset isn't to take out a young QB who is showing a lot of promise to make another run with a vet whose arm strength was questioned before the latest hit he took. Its Henne's time.

I loved what Penny did for us last year, but its time to call it a career. He will make a great QB coach.

I think we have seen enough of Henne this year to think he has a good chance of becoming the next "Franchise" QB that we haven't had all decade. If it turns out that Henne can't get it done maybe you turn to Penny, Thigpen, maybe even White:crazy:to find a way through the year but after that you would be back to square one. Either White or Thigpen comes out with a miracle to prove they might be a franchise QB or, the more likely outcome, you need to get back to the draft and find another potential QB. I think Henne is going to be OK and if not it is going to be a huge set back for the organization chasing QBs instead of solidifying the team.
