would you rather have Jason Taylor rushing the QB inside the 20 or have him drop back into coverage? Me, I want him rushing the passer everydown, of every game of his entire career as a Dolphin. But, no Saban drops him back into coverage and Taylor lets Watson go for a WIDE OPEN TD. That's the second TD JT has given up in coverage TY....
Here's the quote from the Herald "But a few steps into the pattern, Watson came across defensive end Jason Taylor, who was dropped into coverage. Taylor later admitted Watson was his man, but Taylor passed Watson on to air."
Please tell me why anyone with a brain would drop one of the best pass rushing DE's with a bum foot back into coverage at ANY point of a game, especially man to man inside the 20 on a team that has won 7 games in the last 25 games? We aren't good enough to get get cute. No Saban's answer is "hey if he makes the play, it's a good call if he doesn't HE didn't execute the play"!
A smart coach maximizes players strengths and minimize their weakness to improve their play...Us, we are still stuck in that "we will out execute the other team" rut jimmy johnson puts us in. Saban said we were just as good as the pats in his after game press conference, sounds like that pep speech we want teams to dread coming to Miami to play us. Well Nick, that ain't happenin anytime soon...
And cashinfist, I paid almost 2 grand for my season tickets...if I want to boo...I'll boo. Get a spine Saban and say what you're thinking, your players need some motitivation.
One last thing, if I see that "rah, rah" DW clapping again from Saban on the sidelines...I'm gonna scream!
