Ginn is a guy we could have picked up in the second round. .
Yeah, I see what you're saying. But he has me questioning his ability to be a head coach. I think his personal relationship got Ginn picked in the first round. Ginn is a guy we could have picked up in the second round. For one he's still injured. And why would we give up a cheap Welker for an expensive Ginn? Just doesn't make sense.
Brady Quinn was coached and groomed by Weiss. Not to mention that he is a ND graduate. He is a franchise QB and Cleveland was smart to go after him. Cam and Muellar dropped the ball.
His personal relationship just means he knows a lot about the guy but it isn't what got him picked. You can bet Mueller isn't going to stake his reputation (remember this was his draft) on a guy because he knows the coach. And there was no way Ginn fell into the second round, not even close. All of the analyst thought he was a mid 1st round pick but it looks now like GMs had him graded higher. Miami did obviously, there is talk that Houston would have taken him and also SanFran was interested in him. In was by far the 2nd best WR in a deep class of wrs and the fastest guy in this draft. The injury wasn't as big of a deal to teams as the media made it out to be because it is only a sprain, it will heal. The reason it has taken so long is probably in large part to where it is located (the mid foot) and maybe even because he worked out for team on it. If I remember correctly it didn't require any kind of surgery or anything like that.I think his personal relationship got Ginn picked in the first round. Ginn is a guy we could have picked up in the second round.
For all you that think " Quinn" was the answer. Tell me why he dropped to 22?
There is something we do not know that the real NFL coaches know. Do some research on our new QB and you might change your mind
Next coming of Saban? Naw. Possibly the next coming of Wannstedt.
