So far we are watching the next coming of Saban. An injured 1st round pick. Passes up a franchise QB for a PR.

I will have to say that the 1 pick I really liked was the FB from Hawaii. I watched him in their bowl game last year and love the way the guy runs.

The next comming of Shula I say. Cam is building a running game. Look at the back field the the O-Line picks and adjustments. When that gets rolling, that PR becomes a WR bunning DBs. He has great speed, but more important, he burns DBs with accelleration. Brady Quin is overated. You do not need a 1st round QB to win. Look at the other Brady in our divison. Cam is a smart coach, look at the Chargers offense. The Juggernaut is going to prove to be one of the best picks! The foundation is going to be strong, it is like the Phins of 72 and 73.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. But he has me questioning his ability to be a head coach. I think his personal relationship got Ginn picked in the first round. Ginn is a guy we could have picked up in the second round. For one he's still injured. And why would we give up a cheap Welker for an expensive Ginn? Just doesn't make sense.

Brady Quinn was coached and groomed by Weiss. Not to mention that he is a ND graduate. He is a franchise QB and Cleveland was smart to go after him. Cam and Muellar dropped the ball.

Ginn is a guy we could have picked up in the second round. .

That's simply not true.. There are factual reports that Houston was going to take him with the next pick at 10.. Houston was about to take Ginn because they assumed Miami would take Quinn .. After Miami took Ginn, Houston tried to trade down in the 1st round but found no takers..

You know the more I think about it the more I disagree. I'm from Indiana as you can see and I'm a big fan of ND and Purdue. I watch a lot of games from both teams and I can tell you that Brady is a good QB. He's got all the skills to be a good QB, but like everybody else has said his accuracy just isn't there all of the times especially in a little bit of wind or rain.

Ginn will be a good WR on this team also and not just a punt/kick returner. He has the speed and moves to get off the line, and he has acceleration like nobody I've ever seen. The guy gets up to top speed in the matter of a second. I agree that Brady is the more "sexy" pick, its the name everybody wanted to see in a Dolphins jersey, but really I think what we did might end up being the better thing for the franchise. The only knock that I have heard on Beck is his age. If we can get 7 or 8 years out of him though it was a good pick. Beck has the best accuracy of all the QB's in this draft and that is what makes him so good, look a Peyton what does he have above most of the other QB's in the league? Smarts, Accuracy, and a good Work Ethic. The same attributes that they are saying Beck has. Dont take this that I'm saying Beck is the next Peyton, I'm just saying they share similar attributes that make them good QB's.

For all you that think " Quinn" was the answer. Tell me why he dropped to 22?
There is something we do not know that the real NFL coaches know. Do some research on our new QB and you might change your mind

His personal relationship just means he knows a lot about the guy but it isn't what got him picked. You can bet Mueller isn't going to stake his reputation (remember this was his draft) on a guy because he knows the coach. And there was no way Ginn fell into the second round, not even close. All of the analyst thought he was a mid 1st round pick but it looks now like GMs had him graded higher. Miami did obviously, there is talk that Houston would have taken him and also SanFran was interested in him. In was by far the 2nd best WR in a deep class of wrs and the fastest guy in this draft. The injury wasn't as big of a deal to teams as the media made it out to be because it is only a sprain, it will heal. The reason it has taken so long is probably in large part to where it is located (the mid foot) and maybe even because he worked out for team on it. If I remember correctly it didn't require any kind of surgery or anything like that.

This is such a stupid argument. He dropped to 22 because the Dolphins didn't pick him. Not every team needs a first round QB ya know.

Don't forget the guy ran in the 4.3s just a few weeks ago and that is with sprained foot.

chargers picked rivers when they had brees.....teams take BPA all the time as it adds value to their team.

its not a stupid argument, at all.

Quinn was uber hyped by the media, and the guys that know 100 times more about football than 90% of Finheaven members decided that he wasn't worth the 9 pick. Trent Green, with John Beck backing him up and preparing to take over is fine with me. His chance of success in the NFL is just as good as Quinn's I think....ROLL THE DICE BABY!

Kudos to Mueller and Cameron for sticking to their guns, and going out on a limb to do what they think is best. Lets hope it works out!! :D

Man have you seen how fast Ginn is? Wow, he's a blur! You stack up Ginn's actual production as a receiver versus 6 or 7 other receivers in the draft and he was mediocre. Even Anthony Gonzales, he's teammate had better yards per catch than Ginn. If he's so blazing, blurring, lightning fast, what gives with the 13.2 yards per catch on 59 receptions? Marty Booker had better stats for us last year!

Next coming of Saban? Naw. Possibly the next coming of Wannstedt.

Typical Fin fan negativity... I love what Cam and Mueller did in the draft, and it makes perfect sense. Was I blown away that we didn't get Quinn? Of coarse! But he didn't have the goods, plain and simple!! Don't forget 22 teams passed on Quinn. There had to be a reason.

I am honestly excited about this draft class.
