I am !! I am no Tennessee or Vandy fan either, although I live here in East Tennessee, but Cutler can flat out play some ball and has a great arm and can make plays. If he was on a big team, like USC,Texas, people would be saying he's a superstar, and he would be with a supporting cast. This guy will be a big time player in the NFL, and I would love to have him to build a team around !!!dominizzo said:In not to sold on this prospect

I was'nt choosing him over or under anyone, just replying to your thoughts about you wer'nt sold on him.He is a good solid QB and will make a great NFL QB.dominizzo said:Id still like LEinart or Pinegar over him

I don't know about his rookie season because I can't find the stats for it, but only 63 times in something like 34 or 35 games...I averaged out his full 2003, 2004, 2005 sack percentage and he only gets sacked once about every 17 or 18 dropbacks.
Considering the very poor offensive lines that he has worked with, that is pretty incredible IMO. It is no doubt one of the reasons he has stayed healthy. One thing I'm not sure you can teach is genuine pocket awareness. Right now, 2005, he's getting sacked once every 21 or 22 dropbacks.
So, you can just tally up the things the guy has going for him. Lots of heart. Great size. Fantastic mobility (in the true sense of the word, mobility as a QB, not mobility as a runner who is trying to play QB). Cannon for an arm. I hear he's got a very mature attitude isn't there some special on tv about how he spends his time helping out mentally challenged kids? Gunslinger's mentality. He's got some shoddy mechanics (not his throw, more his squaring and footwork), but if he's willing to learn, that is something that can be fixed when he learns that he doesn't have to make all the plays himself every down. The guy's accuracy hasn't really been in question from his statistics either, especially at a school like Vandy to be able to complete 60% or close to it is generally pretty good.
