Here's something that would open Ross' eyes as to the organization's incompetence..

He has a symbolic title ("Vice Chairman", perhaps) and is an ambassador for the team...

I think he meant resign?.....as in in re-upping, or joining the organization again?...not resign (quitting your job).
 
Ok, even if he does not hold any position, honorary or not, any bad words on this team from him would have huge, mega huge effects on ticket sales and people's jobs. The Don still has so much respect from fans, if he did come out and say, "Screw this FO, I don't want to be associated with it anymore.." Haha, can you imagine the ripple, no tsunami effect it would carry?
