Man that guy was awful as a HC. Too bad he still isn't in the AFC East though.

Yeah, Mort from ESPN is reporting that a deal with Shanahan is near. On the flip side, Schefter from NFLN is saying there is no way Shanahan is going to the Chiefs and there has been no talks with him. As TO would say, Get your popcorn ready.
 
ESPN news says they are targetting Shanahan. NFLN says there has been no negotiations.

Adam Shefter is a brownie hound.....double dipping for the Denver Post and NFL Network.....sounds like he doesn't know **** from shanola as far as Mike Shanahan goes.
 
Didn't Herm want to rebuild earlier yet management wanted to make another run? Atleast he had some balls and gave good soundbites. Obviously a new GM is going to want to bring in his own guy. The AFC West is still going to be bad. San Diego has talent but they've also got Norv. Denver doesn't have a D. Oakland has Al Davis. The Chiefs seemingly laid a foundation in last years draft.
 
What took so long. Here's a guy who is consistantly one of the worst coaches in the league yet he manages to keep his job longer than good coaches do. Same deal with Marvin Lewis. Seriously, how bad do you have to be to get fired?

I would say that you have to be Cam Cameron "Fail, Forward, Fast" bad, or Rod Marinelli "0-16" bad in order to get fired.
 
I was tossing a few back at the local watering hole with a buddy of mine (big KC fan) last night when we found out. I haven't seen an expression of joy that great since looking in the mirror right after Wanny left. :lol:
 
Shanny at KC would be interesting that he already has bad blood with the Raiders and now will want to prove he should'nt have got sacked in Denver.

Should be interesting if all pans out.
