Every player needs to watch it. Basically he went off as a former player, not as a coach. Told Suh, Wake, etc...that they need to take their names off the back of their jersey. The way you are playing you are embarrassing yourself and you shouldn't want anyone knowing who you are. Take pride in how you play and get out there and make the plays. Don't blame the coaches and don't blame the calls. You are Pro Bowl players...it isn't Pop Warner. You have enough talent to play at the highest level...go out there and make the plays.
 
I'm shocked that a bad/mediocre coach is defending another bad/mediocre coach.

edit: here comes Junc to defend another former member of the garbage Jets organization.
 
I'd be curious to hear what Herm, another failed, kicked to the curb, Peter-Principled- out HC had to say regarding Philbin and Coyle. IMO, that would be a good barometer on how objective he really is.

made playoffs 3 of 5 seasons, missed both when he lost Chad Pennington to injury

please explain how Philbin was better?


and his point has nothing to do w/ him as a coach, his message is spot on. Your players have quit, they have no one to blame but themselves for that and until they accept responsibility they won't succeed.

It's what he does. Scans around for anywhere h can jump in, or if someone dared write something complimentary about the any Dolphins QB.
 
Wake may be too old, and is hurt. Vernon is overrated, and is hurt. Mitchell is the preseason hero. But Suh is an asshat quitter and should be ashamed of himself.
 
Herm Edwards was lightyears ahead of Philbin as a coach.

The thing I'm worried about with Suh is that all these rave reviews during the preseason make a lot more sense now that we know what kind of atrocious O line he's been going up against. He hasn't looked anywhere near that against non Fins which is telling.

what you fail to understand is that these issues have nothing to do w/ the Jets. stop deflecting and digest what was said. did Herm say anything that is wrong? doesn't matter if you think he sucked as a player, coach, person, whatever. is he wrong?
 
Wake still plays for us ?? You could have fooled me with his anonymity this year.

I take his point though, some players are embarrassing themselves out there, some though are just playing to their talent levels, which we need to accept aren't good enough.
