He's Baaaaaaack

I for one am glad he's pcoming back (hopefully) we know he's got the talent and it won't take him too long to get into football shape.

Theres all this hype about Ronnie Brown and there should be. However how many early round draft picks turn out to be busts.

LOTS!!!!

I hope ronnie becomes a stud but we don't know that yet

and we can hope Ricky keeps his head on straight, but we dont know that yet either. Given Ricky's past and his absolute refusal to acknowledge that he did anything wrong, I think there is a much greater chance that Ricky will either quit or get suspended than there is a chance of Ronnie being a bust. Regardless of Ricky's talent, he is absolutely worthless if he is sitting at home or in some tent in Australia.

Dolphins | Williams Arrives in Miami
Tue, 21 Jun 2005 19:39:35 -0700

ESPN.com's John Clayton reports RB Ricky Williams is back in Miami. He was spotted in a North Miami health food store Tuesday, June 21, by a WQAM radio executive. Williams does not own a cell phone at the moment so he failed to notify agent Leigh Steinberg he was flying to Boston last weekend to visit his daughter. Williams is now subject to random drug testing after getting the NFL to agree to allow him into their drug-testing program before training camp.

Who the f*ck cares? We know he's coming back. We know he was on his way to Miami. What's next? "A 790 the Zone reporter spotted Ricky at a port-a-potty taking his first dump since arriving in Miami?" God, enough.

Mod Note: If you didn't have a history of bad judgment on post content in the main, this would only be a warning. But it's not. You have 24 hours off.

The house rules specifically prohibit bypassing the profanity filter by substituting characters... and I'm asking you to keep the tone of your responses to other members less antagonistic. This is the kind of rude response that we're not going to have directed at a member who did nothing more than report an item in the news.

You need to rein in the edge, dude. Your fellow members are guests in AJ's house here, just like you are. And civility is expected of all. Thanks.

This was reported on the Mandich show today. The exec knew Ricky very little when Ricky had his show with LeBatard his second season with the Fins. The exec says he asked Ricky if he planned on being aroung for awhile, to which Ricky responded, "I hope not." Obviously this is just what Mandich said that his radio exec said, so there is no way of knowing the true context of the statement.

Yeah, those are certainly the words of a football player committed to the betterment of the Miami Dolphins and whose only goal is to win a SB. I swear, he probably laughs at those of you that kiss his a*s day after day.

People just love to hate don't they?

Worst case scenario is he is trade bait, which still is good.

There is absolutley nothing to lose and everyhthing to gain by having Ricky back. I don't get all the anger. It's not like the guy comitted a crime.

I totally agree.. Best case is he and Ronnie make up a crazy running game. Worst case is Ronnie Brown gets most of the carries with Gordon backing up. Neither scenerio sounds that bad to me.

Of course there's nothing to lose- that's why I'm not upset with the IDEA of Ricky coming back. I realize there's nothing to lose. But I sitck to my principles. The guy f*cked us plain and simple and a lot of you are treating him like he never did anything wrong when you know damn well you were the same people rightfully tearing him a new a*shole last summer. I've said it before and I'll say it again: If he's on the team, I'll root for him to help us. It doesn't mean I have to like him, wear his jersey, make a sig praising what a god he is in my own mind, or welcome him back to the team. He's a scumbag. I don't like him. I'll be perfectly happy to see him gain 1200 yards and score 10 TD's, help the team win and then trade his sorry a*s for a pick. That's the extent of it. Stop acting like nothing happened. It's sickening.

Get a life, jerk.

Last we heard he was headed to Boston.
