Chris Simms? He's one of the worst.I enjoyed the video and the recognition of the great work by Tua. Interesting how these former scrubber backup QBs (Chris Simms, Dan Orlovsky, JT O'Sullivan) have successfully transitioned into the media as brilliant QB analysts.
He gets the ratings and has nice blond hair.Chris Simms? He's one of the worst.
Simms works with Florio. What else can you expect? He's for sure one of the worst. He gets the ratings and has nice blond hair.
You beat me to it. I just can’t listen to Simms. He only has a job because of his father and he really is a terrible judge of QB talent.Chris Simms? He's one of the worst.
19:27 in JT's video. He's talking about Waddle's route running (which is incredible) but I keep re-watching Armstead's block.
#72 a bad man. What a signing he was.
Just finished watching it on youtube... Nice watch. Though I think some of the plays he calls RPOs in there were definitely play/run action passes... As neither Tua or the RB's action look like they expect a run out of this.
I think ya both nailed it then. McDaniel is king for getting his weapons open and in space to make plays. He was the run game specialist for dem 49ers and knows how a defense will react to certain looks in the play action.I got flamed for this by one of our finheaven experts for making a comment somewhat similiar, told i was clueless about football and the RPO
"I know its hard to fathom with our elite coaching staff we had, what if our RPO's werent true RPO's just play designed to look like it. Say Tua never even had the option post snap to make the decision on handoff or pass. The play is still ran to look similiar to an actual RPO, but pass or handoff is called presnap, you just go thru the motions of it being an option to try to freeze the LB's or End somewhat. so in theory they were really running playaction out of shotgun, or halfback dive out of shotgun, not true RPO and Tua wasnt really even getting to read or make the decision."
So I'm with you, i think that some of the plays he's calling RPO's arent true RPO's but by design they are set up to look like it to keep the D guessing
BAM! and he goes down.19:27 in JT's video. He's talking about Waddle's route running (which is incredible) but I keep re-watching Armstead's block.
