I dunno. He's been next to Sven for 5 years, which isn't a good thing and has sort of struggled with Middlesbrough, but he's a strong personality, has the respect of the players and does all the coaching. He's likely to bring in Terry Venables and Alan Shearer, which will be interesting. Now that Beckham has stepped down, he can bring in a real captain like Gerrard or Terry and build for the European Championships, the qualifying of course begins in under 2 months.
He'll need to resist the FA's overpowering presence and not get too close to any 1 player as Sven did with Beckham who wallowed in mediocrity for the last 3 years for England. Hopefully he can build the team around the right players and salvage something from this golden generation of England players.
