I am a Saints fan and I am not here to troll or anything like that. I have had little chance to watch any of your games but I am wondering how much your offense misses Ricky Williams?

I know of your quarterback issues and that's been hashed over a bit much as anyone can see by perusing your forum but It just seems like when Ricky is a part of the team the Dolphins are an above average offense regardless of who the QB is.

I hope you guys can turn this disaster of a season around, I am a big Saban fan and diehard LSU supporter. If anyone can right the ship he can, despite some of the "fire Nick" posts I've seen.

We miss Ricky very much! No team fears Ronnie Brown. Every team feared Ricky. As for Saban. He'll be fine.

Ricky Williams was awsome for us, but i think he would only make a dent in what we have now, my friend

U will se lots of irrational posts here..Im sure another "Ronnie is a bust" thread is in the works....as far as RW..even he looked mediocre running with a garbage OL....He would be a nice weapon to have back, but this teams problems go much further than that.....

Well, as for me, This season is done. As a Saints fan, you would know what we are feeling, i'm sure. I did not mean that as a slight to you, btw.

I think Saban is in over his head, honestly. he has made a disasterous series of hireings. Mainly the thrust seems to be towards seasoned NFL guys. Unfortunatly, the good signings that are made, leave, and, the remainder aren't that good.

RW would not make us appreciably better, and, in fact, is a distraction to RB's maturation. RW, for all his great talent is a substance abuser, and, it's agasint the rules. Our troubles start at the OL and go backwards.

Nick Saban, I see as I Bill Bellicheck. BB is considered a genius now....But, he had a turbulent start. Nick is growing with this job and, he will be a great HC one day. He's not a great HC now. I'm a supporter of his, but, he's made bad "Boss" decisions.

i dont think ricky can run through a hole that doesnt even exist.our oline has to step it up big time

We do miss ricky

But that is a failure of the previous regime creating a system that was centralized around one player.

As far as the fire nick saban posts and the articles in the papers, they are some pretty ignorant correspondences. Nick is the solution for our team. Getting this ship righted in the right directino requires a man like saban. And maybe he know trully understands how bad this organization is and why he is so needed down here. I get so upset at those stupid posts because they totally forget what this team did from 95-05, and that is fail at every chance they had to win, get in the playoffs, or pull off upsets.

When Nick is done with this team, we will be back to winning football culture and that last many generations, and I would prefer that than some quick fix solutions that don't lead to anything except momentary satisfaction.

The old System wasnt centralized around one player, it just didnt work.

Who would fear RW since we never run the ball? We dont run it with Ronnie, why would that change for Ricky? That said he wouldnt hurt being here. A nice 2 headed running game like that is pretty sweet.
But atm we have so many holes to fill. We gambled and took the wrong QB (gratz on getting the right one ...) and everything just kinda fell apart. Now I think the best we can hope for is a sweet draft and solid offseason of rebuilding so we can be contenders again in 2-3yrs instead of 4-5-6.

I am a big Saban fan as well, he is going to get the job done, he just needs to sit down players who keep making stupid mistakes, Shula used to do this and it gets the players attention real fast. Nobody likes to sit on the sideline and watch another player take his job away. Another thing he needs to do is have a more physical training camp, he is too soft on these guys and it shows when the season starts, they are being pushed around, Sure it cuts down on injuries during camp, but they aren't as physical as thier opponent early in the season, as the season goes along they seem to get used to it and play better, by then it's too late to make a run at the play offs.

Yes I miss the former dreadlock demon, he was awsome . i also miss the 2000, 2001, (Lamare Smith) Miami Dolphins. Beating the Colts 42 to 6.That was when the Dolphins would start out like 7 and 2 and flop in the playoffs but at least for most of the season we had hope. Unlike now!

Dude, Ricky had over 3,000 yards in his first two seasons for us, with a mediocre offense line. There is no question he would be nice to have back, but Ricky in his prime was the best back in football, and put fear into defenses. He won games for us. Ronnie Brown is not a bust, but as the #2 overall pick, and 35 million to sign, he is. I think the whole draft salary is out of control. If Ronnie made a decent salary, he's a great back, but when his bonus and escalating salary meet up, thats a big cap charge.

Your kidding right?

The 2002-2004 dolphins were not totally centralized around Ricky Williams, then perhaps you can explain to me how he broke the NFL record for most carries in two years with 750 carries, this does not include all the receptions he caught.

Sorry, but I really disagree with you.

Heh.....don't worry man, I know exactly what you're saying. I have been a Saints fan for 25 years....and am a current season ticket holder driving from Memphis to NO for every home game.....about an 11 hour round trip....we usually drive down on Saturday night and enjoy the French Quarter and drive back after the game!

I appreciate the comments about Brees. I am not one of those Nana Nana Boo Boo type guys who wants to make you guys feel bad about not getting him. I am just happy we did. I hope that Daunte gets whatever problems he has out of the way because you guys deserve that. I took the above shot at this last weeks game vs. Philly. This guy is my hero......oh and Reggie has been a shot in the arm too! It's been a long time since we've had a quarterback that we could count on. He is truly our Dan Marino so far!
