Hey Guys I just had a pretty good thought!! What do you Think????

Here is the deal. I cant believe this hasnt crossed my mind until now. What is our weakest part of the team?? WR. yeah that right we have no real #1 reciever. We got Chad Pennington from the Jets and he is playing ok and could lead this team tho the playoffs if he had some people that could catch the damn ball. Well I have been hearing talk everyday since Pennington was cut in NY. Laveraneus Coles is a very very unhappy man. He has been ever since Chad left. They were drafted together and have played together ever since except when Coles went to the Redskins. Coles was not happy that they acquired Favre and didnt even speak to him until a month after the fact basically saying he wanted Chad and nothing to do with Favre. Well guess where Chad is and guess who has plenty of Draft Picks. Thats right. And it would give us a #1 WR that we lack. He could have caught the ball in the back of the endzone last week for the win, and he has incredible speed. I have always liked his play and he has always performed well with what he has had as team mates. The did is unhappy and caught 1 ball for 5 yards in the 1st game and didnt even look like he was trying. He is a TO in Philly situation. He will prob demand a trade soon . But it seems like he isnt going to try at all to co-exist with Favre. Cotchery has already buddied up to Brett and assured himself the #1 WR spot on the team. He admitted yesterday per Rotoworld that he doesnt have a feel for Brett. but me and Chad had it on the first day. Sounds like a man that would love to come to sunny MIAMI. BP get on the horn dont you have some NYJ connections. And oh yeah see if they will throw in Justin Miller CB since Lowery has overtaken him as the starting CB. He will not be happy sittin the bench. Lets give them a #2 and a 5 for the combination. They could use some picks and dont say no cause Miller is a Shutdown corner and will be a pro bowl caliber player for another 8 years or so.

But, i'm assuming you are implying a trade for Coles? I'd highly doubt the Jets would trade him to us. But, we do need a receiver.
 
and although this scenario doesn't sound likely for a number of reasons, hypothetically what happens if Coles ends up down here only to find somewhere deep into this season or next, his job is catch balls from Henne?? What then, another pity party??

the thing is why would the jets want to trade there best reciver to a team in the division ?
 
I like him as a player but I think The Trifecta are looking in a younger direction. I don't think it's a bad idea for the shrt term tho....we sure need some help in the WR dept
 
Save the draft picks forget the quick fix for the next couple of years and maybe in eyar 3 give away a pick for a veteran. We have done the quick fix thing way to long. If they cut Coles then that is something else to discuss.
 
1.) The Yets aren't going to trade him to us because we're in the same division and they hate us. (The feeling is definitely mutual)
2.) The Yet's aren't going to trade him to us because he's their best receiver.
3.) Please break that massive hodge-podge into two cohesive paragraphs

Just a friendly suggestion, and you can take it or leave it as you choose. But you can go back and edit your post a little bit (even after you posted it) and break your ideas down into a couple of paragraphs. It makes it easier for people to read and react to your thoughts.

As for the idea itself, I don't see the jets giving him up to a division rival, nor BP giving up the picks it would take to get it done. If Coles starts acting up like T.O., he could end up getting shipped out to a team other than Miami w/Pennington, so it could backfire. More likely he plays out his jets deal, and if Penny is still the starter in Miami at that time, then he could try to work something out as a FA.
