HEY LOOK A PFT: Ryan Clark says nobody wants to play for Dolphins Thread

First off, Soliai obviously wanted to continue playing for the Dolphins. I think Clark is still butt hurt. I hope he's traded to Denver (boom, roasted)

Ryan Clark first of all is more of an on-air type because his play isn't all that great. He is probably still detered from Miami not giving him what he thought his was worth so he had to tag it home back to Pitt.

Let's be honest though it's not that nobody wants to play for Miami (you're telling me places like Jags, Card, Browns are better destinations? It's Miami in general. Miami 20 years ago would've been great to move to or if single coming out of college, maybe. Nobody wants to take their family to Miami to deal with all that pretentious bs they have there, not to mention Miami is just overloaded with Cubans/Haitians which a lot of people may not really feel.

There has to be a reason everyone you talk to Florida isn't from here, right? I'm trying to get out myself. It really wouldn't even hurt me if Miami just moved to LA or something. It's getting to the point where I don't care..I just want to enjoy an NFL season again.

Can you really blame them ?? Why in the world would you want to play for this sad sack franchise and front office ??

There are so many better places to play and be happy.

The ONLY reason to consider spending a couple years with this crapfest would be to get millions more $$ than anyone else is willing to give. Use the dolphins for money and then dump them later and never look back at that crappy experience in miami

(its a HORRIBLE place to live too, and players arent stupid , they have families and know miami is one of the very worst places to be raising your kids)

okay to visit for a couple days, see the beach in that banana republic known as south florida . whooptee doo. But to actually live there every day and raising a family I dont wish upon anyone.

best choice I ever made was getting out of that stinkfest years ago

Wow.....this is horrible guys.......if this team gets any better it will be in spite of its management. Joe Philbin's got an uphill battle

Looks like I wont be watching the NFL this year either......wake me up when were not the laughing stock of the league anymore

I couldnt agree with you more. I was born and raised there but left 6 years ago...to DENVER. At least here there is a real team managed by people that are likeable in great place to live. Sad to see Miamis national perception.

How can anyone SERIOUSLY call themselves a Dolphins fan and still defend Ireland? It's painfully obvious it's his fault the team is in such disarray and comments like this show that it's worse then we could even imagine. It goes back to the Dez Bryant interview when he asked about his mother being a crack-wh***. Harbaugh backed out Manning said no and that's just the two major issues not to mention all the other players we have lost on. We are becoming a joke in the NFL and for such a historically proud franchise that's pretty tough to do. We need a new direction in the worst way I don't understand why you bring in a whole new coaching staff but not a new FO seems Ross might be as much to blame himself.

In psychology, Stockholm Syndrome is an apparently paradoxical psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and have positive feelings towards their captors, sometimes to the point of defending them. These feelings are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims, who essentially mistake a lack of abuse from their captors for an act of kindness.[1][2] The FBI’s Hostage Barricade Database System shows that roughly 27% of victims show evidence of Stockholm Syndrome.[3]
The Syndrome is named after the Norrmalmstorg robbery of Kreditbanken at Norrmalmstorg in Stockholm, Sweden in which bank employees were held hostage from August 23 to August 28, 1973. In this case, victims became emotionally attached to their captors, and even defended them after they were freed from their six-day ordeal. The term "Stockholm Syndrome" was coined by the criminologist and psychiatrist Nils Bejerot, who assisted the police during the robbery, and referred to the Syndrome in a news broadcast.[4] It was originally defined by psychiatrist Frank Ochberg to aid the management of hostage situations.[5]
Stockholm Syndrome can be seen as a form of traumatic bonding, which does not necessarily require a hostage scenario, but which describes "strong emotional ties that develop between two persons where one person intermittently harasses, beats, threatens, abuses, or intimidates the other."[6]
