HEY LOOK A PFT: Ryan Clark says nobody wants to play for Dolphins Thread

Lol at people trying to still make excuses. Jeff Ireland is clown. Always has been. Everybody in the league knows this as well.

Some people will defend his every action, no matter what. Ireland could have cut Marino in his prime and some people would have lined up to justify it.

One other thing to consider....Ryan Clark is a loud mouth jackass. I am not saying that Ireland is the most lovable guy but give me a break. We have brought in some damn good players and this team gave it their all right to the end. What did we hear about Philbin? We heard that he was a great guy and people loved him. That is the guy who players are most concerned with on a daily basis. Maybe we just did not value Flynn as high as he had hoped. End of story.

Let's see how the offseason unfolds. They know they need a QB but the only thing worse than doing nothing is overpaying a lousy QB and locking yourself to him. Several teams were successful last year with rookie QB's. My guess is that we are heading down the road of drafting a QB no loser than the 2nd round.

anyone defending Ireland at this point must be smoking that good stuff Rickey Williams liked to smoke! I initially was defending Ireland thinking he did not draft that bad last season, but I and many dolphins fans can't take this anymore. There have been several free agents who have come here not signed and then you here them say I just didnt feel right or there is a bad vibe in the building. Or as Clark stated... Clark later says, “It’s my honest opinion. Not a good guy making decisions.” If the guy putting the team together can't get players to play here he needs to go. I don't think Ross has anything to do with this as far as getting players to come. i think the problem is on the football side...Ross needs to grow big ones and fire everyone on that scouting staff and football side and bring in some new descision makers who can help philbin build this team in his vision! :hclap:

You cant win every deal. Not saying we shouldve signed Flynn...personally I wouldnt have. We need to draft and develop a franchise type guy. But it certainly feels like Jeff is trying to win at the negotiating table.....that is bad business.

Our Offense improved and the defense improved as well.

We had a 1,000 passer and rusher which has been unheard of around here.

Think of the best players on the team and they were all brought in by Ireland. Reggie Bush, Cameron Wake, Moore, Bess, all of them.

Clark is just taking a pot shot. He is taking advantage of the lack of educated football fans around here and the fact that Ross is swinging around like a blind man at a pinata. He should NEVER have made any comments about Fisher or Manning or any other football related matters. He set the expectation level higher than it should be.

He should sell the team but he won't of course. Ireland will quit soon is my feeling. He is getting associated with Ross in the worst way. If Philbin doesn't do well it will be Ireland's fault. The whole coaching search was the perfect example of Ross's problems. How could a rumour get out that he wanted Philbin and Ireland and Carlson preferred McCoy?

Couldn't have said it better myself. Just because we work out Flynn doesn't mean he's worth what Seattle paid for him, and if anyone knows what Flynn's worth, Philbin knows. We couldn't afford Manning in the first place. Marshall was locker room drama we don't need.

Preception is Reality. It started with his rediculous questions in the combine prior to him even becoming GM and misstep after misstep has gotten us here. Until Ireland is gone we will always have to overpay for Free Agents to come to Miami ... unless by some miracle we win a ton of games with a **** roster.

No one wants to play for the Fins yet we have a full roster of players. Ryan Clark is a spoiled tool.

Filling an NFL team with players is one thing, filling them with GOOD players is another. Open your eyes man, this team is shaping up to be a joke.

Ireland offered Clark what he was worth and Clark still cannot get over it.

Ryan Clark: No one wants to play for the Doplhins

We really are becoming the laughing stock of the league.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark took a shot at the Dolphins' inability to land free agents on Twitter on Sunday, per ProFootballTalk.com. Responding to a previous tweet that claimed no one wants to sign with the team, Clark tweeted: "No one! To believe I almost went there but it was easy decision not to."
Clark considered playing for the Dolphins in 2010, even paying Miami a visit, before re-signing with the Steelers.
Clark had an answer when someone wondered why the Dolphins had such poor results. "It's my honest opinion. Not a good guy making decisions," he tweeted, seemingly referring to general manager Jeff Ireland.
And, a few minutes later: "Done w talk of the Dolphins. Good luck to their team. Their are some good men working hard to win games ON the field."
