This guy has done this three or four times. Dive for the goal and then extend the ball with one hand. Each time before it was almost a fumble. This time it was (forget the whole not a fumble debate, thats in other threads. Go there and argue it).

But Ronnie my man, TUCK the ball!!! Either get in cleanly or don't risk it. Live to play another down, kick a FG anything but a heartbreaking turnover deep in enemy territory.

Where was this post last week when he extended the ball and scored???
I didn't like it then either. Very close to being fumbled away. As my post says (you did read it?) he has done it several times. It is not safe football.

I am not dishing on the rookie. I just wish he woudl change that.

He is still the man.

Yeah, I did read your post. But those 'almost' fumbles didn't move you to write this thread before.....why?? You were too busy celebrating an AMAZING TD!!

My point is, don't celebrate him doing it once when it works (or at least not criticize it) and then when he does the same thing with a negative result, come here and criticize. I liked the effort against Buffalo, and I liked the effort yesterday.

Hey Ronnie, keep doing everyhting you can to score!!!

Totally agree. The only exception would be on a 4th and goal and we had to go for the T.D. Otherwise, just tuck it away and use his power to puch it in.

It shouldnt have been ruled a fumble. The officials got it wrong. Can't blame Ronnie for that.

i hear you ... by the way it popped out only because he hit the ground with it. no one knocked it out or striped it ... it was and should have been down by contact as the ground can't cause a fummble ....and the tip of the ball did break the goal line as the replay showed ... should have been a touch down, but then again we're not the patsies so we don't get those type of calls go our way.

:nono: A negative post...who woulda thunk it....

Fin-atic, Brown is trying to make a play. I bet If he hadn't streteched out you'd be complaining that he didn't try to score. I liked seeing him stretching out for it, and he did score..

I hate to disagree, but Ronnie is just trying to make a play and gain every single yard possible....

If you're asking he tuck the ball due to yesterday's so-called "fumble", let me tell you that it wasn't a fumble....I watched it in slow-mo on my freinds Tivo....IT WAS NOT A FUMBLE
:shakeno:

I have no problem with him extending the ball to get it in the endzone. However, it would be nice to see two hands on it...it's one of those plays, if you do it, it better work. I'd rather see that than the Sammy Smith fumble though...

Different situation Sunday, 3 1/2 minutes left and FG makes it two score game.

Not fumbling is actually more important than a TD in that situation, IMO.

I'm not gonna ask Ronnie to stop making plays because of the incompitance of the refs. Like Tasker said. the ball crossed the plain of the goal line and his head hit the ground, it's a TD at most and OR down by contact at the 1 inch line at the least, but it isn't a fumble.

I have to agree with finatic on this one.Ronnie needs to get some coaching on how to ptotect the ball.

--In the early part of the season he risked several fumbles because he did not switch the ball to the arm away from the side he was to be tackled.I havnt seen that lately.

He needs to wrap both arms or hands on the ball especially when he is in the red zone where the going gets tough and the defenders are searching for the ball. The fumbles that occur can be game changing.
