26-34, 358 Yds, 6 TD's........Oh what could have been. But hey Culpeper's backing up a rookie now so that was a great call Dick oh I mean Nick :thanks:

Hey man everyone feels the same way, but moaning about it won't change anything.

Who would have thought a serious injury to Brees' throwing shoulder would be less serious than a knee? It's just one of those things...it wasn't meant to be.

Who would have thought the Jets would see something in Ken O'Brien to take him over Danny Boy? These cruel twists of fate have, in fact, worked in our favor once in a while. Maybe less often than we'd like, but hey....

you cant change the past we have to get over it..... but it would be nice if he is gonna break dans records at least he would do it with us

That's not possible....not with their "franchise" left tackle Jamaal Brown being out with hip surgery for 6 weeks....

Big time players get it done....period....

I gotta admit, I really, really wanted Culpepper over Brees. And was ecstatic that we got him. But dang, I was soooo wrong on that one. Brees is awesome.

But, IIRC didn't we also draft Jamar Fletcher instead of Brees?? Was that on Wannstedt's watch? I mean, dang, we could have had Brees throwing to Boldin and 1-15 would have never happened!?!?!

Now I know why I hate "what if's"......

Yep. We passed Brees in the draft as well...for those keeping score, that's twice we passed on Drew Brees.

Everyones right on here hindsight is 20/20. I'm just frustrated after watching that abortion on offence yesterday. If we win Monday the pain will go away. If not I will be lighting a torch and grabbing my pitchfork!

How about knowing something. Wayne made the call about Brees based on
MONEY....Why do you think Nick left for less money? He was promised total control but was always hampered by ownership.
Look at Wayne's track record and look at Nick's.

So did I, but whoever evaluated Culpepper in that process still dropped the ball in a major major way. As fans we can only assume it's safer to go with the guy who didn't blow him arm out, since being a QB requires to......you know, throw the ball. It's the Phins job to evaluate who was a better option, who was healthier, and they failed miserably in that scenario and probably set this franchise back several years.
