Last year was not only important for building a culture, cleaning up cap, and getting draft picks but front office did a great job getting some hidden gems or acorns to help us this year and beyond.

Zach Sieler
Nick Needeem
Preston Williams
Patrick Laird
Beigel-he is hurt obvsiously but another guy who was going to play a lot of snaps for us
Sam E. -decent backup linebacker
Mack Hollins.

pretty good list.

Needham I personally did think he was going to stick. He was awful in the beginning of last year, but contributing this year. They are coaching these guys up to produce out of know where.

Refreshing to see what a difference from the last 20 years.

Hoping for more touches from Liard. I was at the Eagles game last year when they needed to lean on him and he stepped up.

Needham really stands out as a solid player. He's come a loooong way. LOVE Sieler.
Just think how good some players with loads of talent are eventually going to be...Tua comes to mind- once they hit their stride.
To me Laird is replaceable, as is Sam E. Hollins is all over on specials.

That’s a damn good list!

Nick was a "personal project" of Flo.

Needham we say any more?

It’s interesting how Needham’s path has been similar in both seasons. He looked like couldn’t hack it again early this season. Now, at mid-season, he again looks like a player. It’s good to see him turn it around again.

I don't watch a ton of NFL football or the Dolphins - but I've seen more this year than I usually do and that fella right there is flat out scary from what I've seen.

I'm curious, why exclusively stick to watching CFB and not the NFL? Partically for kids you know and players you've projected for the next level. Sort of away to refine your skillset.

I have my reasons.

Also, there's only so much time to watch so much football, and I prefer college and high school to the NFL. On Friday nights I'm somewhere at a high school football game. The rest of the time I'm watching film of college prospects.

I've seen enough NFL to know what translates and what doesn't. It won't change.

The NFL is boring to me. There's not enough variety in schemes or play calling with recycled coaches. I can watch one college football game and see everything from the Air-Raid with wide splits and Choice/Switch routes, to cut blocking and the Triple Option in the span of 3 or 4 minutes. I can see everything from the 3-4 over/under to a 3-1-7 defensive alignment. It's just the aspects of the game that interest me. Not necessarily being a cheerleader.

I'm more a fan of the game of football itself than any certain team. The little attention I do give to the NFL is typically just to see how former Bama players are doing.

Needham was learning to play Slot CB earlier this year, a position he's never played. He was learning on the fly, which may explain his slow adjustments. He now seems more comfortable.
