I know that Wilford was a complete bum last season but coming back after switching positions, to me it seemed that he actually wanted to play football this year and since david martin is getting up there in age, i thought wilford had a legitimite shot at making the team. i have been all about wilford these last two preseason games. i thought he was making progress in the TE position and i was really hoping he would make the team. but what can ya do??

I think it came down to the numbers game and he was not blocking good as a TE.

well to me i thought he was starting to get the blocking down. made alot of good blocks against carolina. atleast put him on ps and train him to be a TE. idk.

They saw all they wanted to see from Wilford and didn't want to see anymore.

Wilford is two months older than Martin.

Wilford turned 30 on January 14th and Martin turned 30 on March 13th.

Wilford wasn't eligible for the practice squad and it appears he wasn't making enough progress to over take Haynos as the 3rd TE.

Man we have to stop crying over bad football players getting the boot outta here. Finally we are showing some talent and getting rid of mediocrity. It is now unacceptable here. You have to love it. We have come a long way in a short time. The Tuna is really cementing his legacy.

really?? haynos is talent??? i think he is below mediocrity. they just kept him because of money.

Wilford was a BIG mistake and lets move on. We blew cap $$$ and thats that.

Wilford couldn't even move the blocking sled by himself....take some time, and go back through the training camp videos on aquavision. It's a sad sight to behold, big tall Wilford.....attacking that sled at full speed and the sled barely budging. good riddance.
