Hill Needs 128 YPG To Hit 2K

I kind of hope he comes up just short so he goes into next season fired up to break it.

Can he break the record AND Miami continue to win?

First thought was there are too many good pass defenses in the next six games and his pursuit may cause a distraction. NFL Pass Defense by Yards Allowed: Jets (#5), Patriots (#6), 49ers (#7), Packers (#8), Chargers (#15), and Bills (#17). Tough row.

The reality, however, is individual receiving records can be achieved regardless of team records.
  • 2012: Calvin Johnson broke the NFL receiving record, Lions 4-12.
  • 2015: Julio Jones, 3rd highest, Atlanta 8-8.
  • 2021: Cooper Kupp, 2nd highest, Rams win Super Bowl.
So yes, would love for him to beat the record and the team to continue its success.

The way we are spreading it around he might not get it.

Good question- he might need to have one monster game to bring the average down in the other 5. Teams are not letting him rip them to shreds and Tua is nicely distributing the ball all over.
I think he comes up short, but it would be cool to see him do it.

I know its selfish, but Hill had a chance at history.

But he was taken out too early in that game last week. Sure he went back in, but too little too late.

2 more little 12-15 yards slants would have made a huge difference

I kinda doubt it. With Waddle and the pack there's a lot of mouths to feed

and unless Mister Hill is overly featured (which I do not see McD doing any of that)

he'll probably wind up around 1850 - 1925. Huge no matter what. But I think we're facing more

tuff comp and also looking to run more.

I hope he doesn’t get the record due to coach sitting the starters in a meaningless game against the Jets. Because we have clinched
