Since we have a contingent of posters who hang their hat on always being right esp when things go wrong... Well the past season I was way off on my predictions for success, give us your predictions for failure! Let's see what you can come up with. Please avoid the morbid, but otherwise let's see your best (worst) forecasts.

Sorry, we debbie downers, who are normally right...don't talk without anything to go on. I don't know about Gase yet, so, I don't have a prediction yet...

Don't worry, as soon as we figure this guy out...we will let it be known...

bah sounds like hindsighters talk to me. ;)

my biggest optimism is Tannehill finally breaks through, has a monster year slinging the ball to DvP and Landry all day every sunday. and sometimes on Monday, and we make the playoffs, with a home game at our newly redone stadium.
my failure prediction, and this will almost certainly happen, is that Dallas Thomas will somehow, someway start week 1 somewhere on the line, and will subsequently get beaten on the first offensive snap of the season, ending in a sack and a 2nd and 18. We will then run the ball for 1 yard, then throw for 10 on 3rd down and 17, leaving us with a 3 and out and EVERY single Dolphin fan with a huge bead of worry sweat on their brow.

2-14 and with the first pick select Roderick Johnson of Florida State because the OL is still not fixed.

This shouldn't be too difficult since you want a best AND worst forecast - not a 'what will the record be.' Will Maxwell/KA/Williams play to talent level or will they revert to last year? Will all or almost all players with injury histories stay healthy? Will the rookies play to expected level? The 'if's' are endless. Worst case prediction 3-13. Best case 9-7. I'm betting the record is within those bounds.

It's actually easy to see how things could go wrong this season. Alonso , Williams and Maxwell do not return to their former selves and play exactly like they did last year on other teams. As a result the defense is last in the league against the run. Ajayi misses time and Williams or Drake are force to be starters. Parker's foot injury persist and he's back on the IR.
Tunsil can not hack it at left guard so Dallas Thomas returns as the starter. Albert gets another injury and the O line scuffle continues.
With poor protection and no running game Tannehill leads the league in sacks once again and without Parker teams double Landry and force Ryan into many bad throws and INTs. Fins have trouble reaching the 6 wins they had last year.

Hoping none of this happens but you asked for it Bill :)

My more positive guess is 9 and 7 just missing the playoffs. One more draft and year of Gase as coach should have us making a deep playoff run in 2017.

Considering we can't give a good opinion if we don't know what type of team we will have...

If Oline is finally fixed:
Tannehill- 326/512 for 3750 Yrds 64% 35TDs/14INT

If Oline is not finally fixed:
Tannehill- 258/432 for 3750 Yrds 59% 35TDs/14INT

If Kiko Alonzo and most of the starting D-line stays healthy:
Miami has a top 15 Defense

If along with the top, the secondary also stays healthy and plays solid:
Top 10 defense

If Kiko alonzo or most of the starting D-line is lost to injury:
Defense will be ranked in 20s

Oline and defensive front 7 fail
Dolphins 5-11

Oline or defensive front 7 fail
Dolphins 7-9

Oline and defensive front 7 look good
Miami Dolphins 10-6

Oline and defensive front 7 look good + Adam Gase is for real
Miami Dolphins 11-12 wins in 2016 with AFC east crown.

 There you go, I am totally on the record.

My prediction...things get off to a REALLY REALLY promising start, followed by a season-ending injury to one or more extremely important players. We fizzle to a 6-10 to 8-8 record again.

4-12

Learning year for Gase and we find out the D isn't fixed with older players. The O-line improves but Ajayi isn't a number 1. I am usually wrong and I hope I am for this prediction.

Let me check my crystal ball...

Oh god

It's worse than I feared

I see

We will be right here talking the same **** this time next year with half the fanbase thinking we can win a Super Bowl and the other half talking how bad we suck. I will be here drinking Crown and Newcastle right through it all. Book it.

A debbie downer is someone that finds the absolute worst in even good situations and thats not the case with dolphin fans. We havent seen a good situation in a long time lol

A Game of Thrones spoiler immediately comes to mind. A couple, actually.
