Interesting tidbit about Pepper Johnson from Profootballtalk.com (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/16/pepper-johnson-thinks-hes-being-pigeonholed/)
Pepper Johnson is in an unusual job situation as a defensive line coach with the Bills. He interviewed for the DC post with the Giants, but they hired Spagnulo back. After serving for years on Belichick's staff as coach for the defensive line and linebackers, he moved over to the Bills last year to hopefully change perception about his coaching skills within the league.
We need a replacement for Kacy Rodgers if he takes the DC job with the Jets as expected. I can't think of a more qualified replacement at DL coach. He knows treahe AFC East well, and he could be a great sounding board for the players and Kevin Coyle. If Philbin were to offer him a special title...defensive assistant, and give him some coordinator responsibilities alongside Coyle, Johnson might be intrigued.
