Hire Shannahan and Kubiak

Some of you really do not watch football at all to suggest bringing in coaches who did worse than what we have now.

Instant upgrade, not my choice but anything is better then what we got. I also think Ireland is going to be retained.

Mike Shannahan would be soooooooo happy with the cap room and health that he might even work the first year for free....lol He really did not get a fair shake in D.C. The problems they had he just could not get over that quick. To boot the next coach is going to watch someone else using his #2 next year because of the deal to get RG III
 
If we are going to take a ride on the short bus to fantasyland then why not Chudzinski as OC and Leslie Frazier as DC?

Frazier is also a fall guy for a crappy GM in Minnesota. Rick Spielman (remember him) gave him poo to work with.
 
NFL players do not like Shanahan. I'll leave it to you to figure out why. So no, we're not hiring him.
 
:bobdole: Ugh... see this is what i'm talking about if we fire our current staff. We get dodo birds in return. A guaranteed firing in 2016 and destruction of RT if this happened.

Not true at all. Read the stories and listen to the beat writers in DC. That is so far from the truth. RGIII is the guy that greased his skids out of DC.

they were special when they had John Elway and Terrell Davis

Kyle reportedly hated working under his Dad and now wants to distance himself again in an effort to show he's a good OC.

I want Kubiak. I think the talent the Texans have, especially on offense, is grossly overrated.

I think the narrative is going to change when the Texans suck again next year and Ben Tate is the biggest free agent bust of 2014.

The Texans are a case of a team that had developed a nice core, but as the team got older the young guys didn't step up. A lot of moves they gambled on ended up being failures. You also need good chemistry on the OL, and after letting Winston walk, their replacements and the rotating at RG didn't work out.

As for the idea of the thread. Kubiak IMO will take a year off. He suffered a mini stroke, I think he needs to recharge his batteries. Shanahan I think is done now. People can throw blame on RG3, but at the same time his tenure in DC was a disaster before RG3 got there. And while he was GM at the end of his tenure in Denver, he was actually rather bad at drafting.
