Do you guys think that if we hire McCoy, that means we will make a run at getting RG3?

Why would hiring McCoy lead to this conclusion?? I dont get it. If anything it may mean we are going with Moore since they worked together for 3 years in Carolina when McCoy was the QB coach and Passing Game Coordinator there.

Honest question. I dont watch alot of college football. It seems like RG3 and Pat White are the same kind of QB, what separates RG3 from Pat White?

Everything. RGIII is everything that Pat White isnt. Pat White is strictly a scramble.

RGIII is a pass first quarterback. He just happens to be very, very athletic.

Imo he's much safer with the ball. Deep ball accuracy is pretty awesome as well.

Physically, RG3 is rock solid and made of muscle at 6'2 220 while Pat White basically had the build of an 11 year old boy and weighed 190 soaking wet. As far as speed and running ability goes, Pat White was definitely fast but RG3 can run with anybody and can actually make people miss/ break a tackle here and there. Pat White had very little wiggle and was clearly physically dominated in the NFL.
Their passing ability is not even close. Go ask Mel Kiper, RG3 throws a better deep ball than any quarterback in this draft (including Luck) he has an absolute cannon, he's accurate and he has the intelligence to learn an NFL offense. White had a decent arm at best, he never showed any ability to throw the deep ball in college and he completed most of his passes to wide open receivers at WVU.
As far as their level of competition in the NCAA goes, I'm not saying that the Big 12 is the SEC, but the Big East is ****ing horrible. White never saw anything close to a real defense in college.
On another note, West Virginia is a pretty good program and they are usually competitive. Baylor is a HORRIBLE football school, and if not for RG3 they would have been at the bottom of the Big 12 yet again. He carried a nothing program from nothing to something fun to watch, if nothing else.

... All of these factors equate to Pat White being considered a REACH in the 2nd round while RG3 could very well end up being the 2nd overall pick in the draft. Absent the best QB in prospect to come around since Peyton entering the draft this year, RG3 is the #1 overall pick.

I think we would try to get him if he was our coach. Lol at he is the next pat white. Is it because he is black lol come on back up what you say.

Thanks guys, in MTL, I get bowl games and thats it. So Im left with highlights which can be very misleading at times...
