and RGIII is the BEST passer out of all three of them
I wouldn't call him a better passer than Cam Newton.
and RGIII is the BEST passer out of all three of them
So he wasn't helped by the spread offense? Or the conference's terrible defenses? Or Kendall Wright who some scouts have as their best wide receiver in the draft? Or the rest of the receiving corps that is very good? Or the 1,500 yard rusher?
I'll keep that in mind.
Yea, and I've seen many programs turned around by great college players. That's what Robert Griffin is. Getting RG3 will cost Miami a ton of picks. You're talking about trading plenty of picks for a quarterback with a lot of questions. He's still a project as a professional.
I'm not part of the RGIII fan club, but I don't see why people are not giving this guy his credit. He's smart, athletic, and very accurate. We could debate the gaudy stats ad naseum, but those three attributes, you can not teach; You either have it or you don't.
What questions does RGIII have? He has the strongest arm in the draft, he is very accurate and smart, and he can scramble. But you don't want to get him because he doesn't maximize his height...A QB doesn't maximize his height. I can guarantee you he reads the field better than any QB in the draft besides Luck. And It's annoying when people say since he didn't face any talent we shoudn't draft him, Andrew Luck played in the Pac-12, a terrible conference where only Oregon and Stanford are any good, and when Luck faced the top defenses in College he was known to struggle.
People like Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, Aaron Rodgers, and Matt Ryan played bad teams in college and have had great careers, just because they had played in easy conferences doesn't mean they wiill be terrible. Vince Young played in a conference with great teams when he was in college and has just turned into a complete bust. And if anybody was helped by tremendous players it was Luck, he had the best OL in all of college and why does Wright make RGIII look good? Why couldn't it be that RGIII makes Wright look good? RGIII has as much potential as Tannehill or Weeden and is a safer pick than paying a ton of money for Flynn, who is more unproven than RGIII!

As a college quarterback and person, I truly do respect RGIII. It's his issues that he'll have to fix in the NFL that makes me say he's not worth trading up to select him. His mechanics need work, his drop back isn't as smooth as you'd like. He played against some horrible defenses. He doesn't maximize his height, especially on play actions. I haven't seen him do much in terms of fully reading progressions. And yes, I've seen Wright bail RG3 out plenty of times and plenty of yards that came from Wright being Wright and racking up the YAC. Can he be good? Of course. He's a smart kid. Would I trade multiple picks including next year's first (in a draft that is loaded with potential for killer quarterbacks)? No I won't. In order to get RG3, it will take a lot to move up.
As a passer, he's far less polished than Cam Newton was at this point last year.
He has work to do that does not warrant Miami moving up at a high cost to select him.
How is Matt Flynn more unproven than RG3? I could've sworn Matt Flynn has been in the NFL, learning from NFL coaches, from one of the best quarterbacks in the game and has actually seen an NFL game.
Look, a lot of people will disagree with me about RG3, but you will see some that agree with me.
