I've looked at Bill Parcells past records. His teams do well the first year and drop off the second befroree they really take fire in the third. I'm really pissed about this loss and it stings. We are better than 2-4. This is the 2nd game we lost we should have won. One thing I have to admit. I'm 44 years old and have followed the Dolphins all my life. I know this sounds weird, but other than Marino lighting up the score board, this has to be one be one of the most entertaining, exciting, and infuriating teams I've ever seen. Only 6 games into the season and how many heart attacks have we had??? 3 of the most exciting games of the season so far have envolved the Fins. I hope we don't have to endure any more losses like this, but I support the trifecta. This team is headed in the right direction. These are just some thoughts I wanted to share. If anyone has anything they would like to add, please do.

Best thread all night. Finally get a break from those buffoons claiming the FO's heads.

Our record right now is a result of this team not getting the breaks we did last year.

1. We had the easiest schedule last year, this year one of the hardest
2. We won all the close games last year, this year our only close win has been against the Jets, lost to the Saints and Colts.

And most importantly, its just the way things role. The bounces haven't gone our way. Unfortunately, it isn't about history or anything, its about this team having all the odds stacked up against them when they aren't really ready for it yet. We are in year 2 of the rebuilding mode, we aren't ready for the hardest schedule in the NFL just yet, but we are getting put with it, so this is how things will go down.

Our record should be better but I mean look at the record of any team that has had a turn around season, what were their records like??? I think only one has had a winning season after their turnaround. We are still rebuilding and it shows at some positions. But we are a lot further ahead then a lot of people give credit for.

Agree, nice thread. Team is heading in the right direction. Tough loss. We just all need to get over it and hope we can get a W next week..

To be honest, we have a lot of good elements and its pretty clear that there are certain weaknesses that this regime inherited and those are still coming back to bite us. This would have been a completely different game today if one player (Ginn) hadn't turned potential good plays into incredibly negative plays. Seven points were given to the other team from one bad play, and even more points could have been had if the other drives where he failed to make a play had continued. When you subtract Henne's practically irrelevant pick 6 on the last drive, that's the difference in the game and then some.

I say these things not to be anti-Ginn, but just to point out how a weakness on this roster that was inherited is still costing us. The new regime has already brought in playmakers on both sides of the trenches, some obviously talented but as yet-inexperienced corners, some solid WR's who make great components in the passing game, and a talented young QB. More work must be done, but I haven't been able to name this many positives on our roster in many years. With two more drafts and maybe a couple key free agents, we will really be a force to be reckoned with.

Nice to see a few practical thinkers are on the board tonight. Very disappointed but this team is clearly moving in the right direction. The FO has done a great job of rebuilding the roster, although their is still a glaring need at WR and FS.

Our 4 loses are to 2 of the 3 undefeated teams, at Atlanta and the game we lost Pennington out west. We have 2 more tough games in the next 2 weeks then the schedule breaks in our favor.
