Hockey: Canada defeats USA

Jeff Halpern tore his ACL playing for Team USA. Canada will always have an assortment of wealth in hockey because it's an institution. Much like the NFL has taken over for MLB and being an American institution. Though with Eric Johnson, Phil Kessel, Patrick Kane I think team USA is finally getting a new nucleus.

Any idea how Pat Kane and Jonathon Toews looked? As a Blackhawks fan I am really excited about the two young guys. Our future finally looks bright.

tell me about it! I'd say those two are going to win your team a few cups over the years if you can keep them together and add some roll players. Kane looked like a stud!

Jonathon Toews is local Winnipeg boy like myself! We are very proud of that young man.......and watch out he'll be lightin the lamp plenty next year.

I'll see him at the Kieth Katchuk golf tourny and tell him you're cheerin for him!


That Canada US game could have had 20 goals scored in it. US hockey is really starting to bring more and more great talent. IMO their only situation right now is Defence and Goaltending.

They play the Canadian style of play and we hate that! They are always a tough team for Canada to play.

Not to be too big of a homer here but our hockey program is just plain silly right now. The NHL is something like %75 canadian born players and I believe it will be upwards of %85 over the next 10 years.

Our JR. and 18 and under national teams are so dominant internationally it's almost unfair.
 
also, does FH have a KK or D-day Camo shorts thread with which this POS might be merged.
