Though he'll be an unrestricted free agent, Dolphins DE Vonnie Holliday told PFW that he would prefer to stay in South Florida, and the return of defensive coordinator Dom Capers is a big reason why. "No one wants to rebuild and go through that whole process of learning a new defense, but it happens," he said. "But the opportunity to come back here and continue to play on a team that I'm very familiar with and for Coach Dom Capers, a guy I've gotten to know very well over the last year and who I have tremendous respect for, would be an excellent opportunity and one I look forward to."

I wouldn't mind him coming back here if Kevin Carter doesn't return. He knows the system, fits in very well and I can't see him demanding too much money from the Dolphins.

yea i would really like to see him back

^^ is nice to see, he is a great morale booster to the club.

yea, I don't see both of them coming back, and of the two, I think Holliday would be the wiser/cost effective choice.

It would be great if we signed him back for not too much.

Holliday is a good guy and a great player. I would like to see him back.

If he re-negotiates, fine. We will have the Wright Bros,Fred Evans, Matt Roth, JT, D Bowens, so If Carter goes , Big Daddy goes, and Tractor goes, Holiday would help depth-wise as he did get to the QB quite a bit.

Absolutely. It is refreshing to see this type of attitude from time to time among pro athletes.

He is over 30 and had a great season last year. Don't anybody kid themselves, he wants a lot of money; he deserves a lot of money.
I don't think we can afford to pay him, not with a healthy Rod Wright
getting paid seventh round money just busting to get his chance to
show everybody he really should have been a first round pick. The money
needs to go to a more dire need.
