SAN DIEGO—Spending the past few days with his mom and his son made this a great trip already for Dolphins running back Damien Williams, but he wasn’t done. Williams strutted into Qualcomm Stadium and had himself a party during Miami’s 31-24 victory.

Williams broke through the line for a two-yard scoring run early in the third quarter and followed it by catching an 18-yarder for the first multi-touchdown of his career. After his first touchdown, he ran to the back of the end zone and did an elaborate dance.

“Just being able to score at home,” he said. “I’ve never scored in this stadium, even when we came here last year. It was great just to get in the end zone and feel that I’m at home.”

He brings plenty of swagger and makes plays when we need him.

He has tons of confidence and swagger....he just needs to keep moving forward....he still seems to try to stop and juke and move side to side to get around defenders.....THAT DOES NOT WORK IN THE NFL.

He's getting better, but he really needs to watch how Jay runs...and other top RB's in the league.

Glad he is on the team though.

He really has shown up this year. Many of us were calling for him to be cut but very glad he is a part of this team.

I read something yesterday that I hadn't realized. Damien Williams had zero TDs in his first two years in the league...he's got 3 rushing TDs and 2 rec. TDs this year.

Having him be an unexpected weapon is fantastic. Miami has decent depth at RB even with Foster being retired now.

I really want Drake involved though. He adds an element of speed the other two don't have and after a team gets pounded by Ajayi and they're tired and sore it would be a great time to use Drake. Clearly Gase doesn't think he's ready yet or he's too focused on Ajayi getting his touches. We also only ran 49 plays yesterday since the defense was giving up 3rd down conversions by every means necessary...especially penalty.

Honestly I don't think Drake would be on this Roster if Gase knew what he was getting with Williams. Not like there was any way to know Williams would make a jump like this.

But yeah, what Williams is doing, is kind of what Drake was brought here to do, so there just isn't anywhere for drake to get plays right now.
