Has that "Miami Dolphins...Miami Dolphins" Home Game song they play at the stadium changed. I did not get to Miami last year to see a game. But I have to say that is one sad piece of work. I find it pretty gay. I wish they would put something together with a little toughness in it. They tried to upgrade the Phin Head on the Logo a bit, why not the song. Something people might not be so slow to chant too to get the croud rallied up. You here Hells Bells, Welcome to the Jungle and things like that so people in charge must see it. What is up with that song?

Yeah the song is too twangy/rednecky. I agree, we need a song to rally the crowd, not inspire them to hoe-down!

Lyrics

(Verse)
Miami has the Dolphins,
The greatest football team!
We take the ball from goal to goal,
Like no one's ever seen!
We're in the air,
We're on the ground,
We're always in control.
So when you say Miami,
You're talking Super Bowl!

(Chorus 1)
Cause we're the Miami Dolphins,
Miami Dolphins,
Miami Dolphins Number 1.

(Chorus 2)
Yes we're the Miami Dolphins,
Miami Dolphins,
Miami Dolphins Number 1.

(Repeat)

Come on, if it sounds dumb, it is dumb. Music is sound right. The logo was a classic too, but it was changed.

I would love to see a poll on here seeing if people really like it? or better yet, if people think a tougher song would be good.

POLL

The words are fine, it is the gay melody that hurts.

We sing it. We love it.

P.S.- I guarantee it's the only NFL fight song with a banjo in it.

Yeah, it's hokey sounding, but it's got all our history wrapped in it and is a joy to us who've watched all the great games over the years so, if you don't like it, carry a walkman with headphones around and listen to whatever you want after we score.

Confusing story and unclear to me, but here it is. The guy who recorded the thing wrote it for the Dolphins, but they didn't want to pay him anything for it. He then peddled it to the Oilers who bought it. How we ended up taking it, who knows.

I like the song, but the music is a bit corny--I would like to see something with a bit more meat to it, like The alarm's "Marching on"
