Home Stadium an embarrassment.....

I see now in my original post you took offence to my statement where you thought I was attacking basically you and the ones who do care. I apologize to all those hard core fans that stuck it out there in that weather. You are true fans. Its not you I blame for the lack of intensity. The people who are to blame would not be here typing this stuff on this site. They are the people who just want to see a game. Have no real knowledge of the team or the game. The die hards are obviously the ones I hear making noise. I would love to see the stadium filled with the real fans. The ones who bleed teal, and who get upset at things like this. Because they have passion. They care. I will try to be more clear in the future.

Okay...that's it...you crossed that line with me...

WE DON'T WEAR TEAL...WE WEAR AQUA DAMN IT!

I think Miami fans deserve the "Bushtown" rep most of the time, but I will give them a pass for last night.

Who is more likely to use their tickets for a football game 24 hours after a hurricane has passed through -- the out-of-towners who got to stay in a hotel, or the locals who are trying to clean up their houses, take down plywood and storm shutters, figure out when the electricity and phones will come back on, check on the safety of family members in the path of the storm, etc.

Sorry to get mad like that but, you struck a nerve...I think I'm still wet and I know I'm still hoarse from last night....

Me and many people around me were cheering our butts off but, it was awful discouraging when it didn't do any good. Which was most of the night. :(

Allright I guess we can all agree we are damn frustrated and find ourselves in an unfamilar place with 0-3. I have been around as a fan for a long time. I dont remember things being like this. So much negativity surrounds us like a cloud on the looney tunes over our head. It just follows us everywhere we go. Damn you Ricky! Damn you!:goof:

Wow we agree today!. Finally. Lets take this moral victory and build on it shall we? More agreeing to come! Stay tuned.

I don't think "out-of towners" who say these things are directing it towards those of you "in-towners" who do go to games. Don't take it too personal. I'm sure you all know someone who likes the Dolphins, but never attends a game.

Marlins out? I think they should send our a**es to the Orange Bowl and let the Marlins keep Pro Player. We deserve it.

All I know is when Hines Ward scored, the place erupted, I looked around my entire section and it was surrounded by black and yellow. I got battered for staying to the end of the game. I never give up on a game, or this team, but it's sad when the announcer calls us the best fans in football. It really is, because I have never seen worse fans in professional sports.

That's just wrong.. there were NOT more steelers fans than Dolphins fans and they weren't louder than the Dolphins fans....period.
I hate people who sit at home and complain that there aren't enough fans cheering in the ******* rain during the remenants of a Hurricane.
What a stupid comment.

Infins, While giving the circumstances yesterdays game can be excused, I was there last year for the Pats game and the Pats fans were very much louder then the Fins fans, When Mare missed that FG (I was at the other end and from there it looked good) The cheers were so loud you would swear he made the kick, I turned around to start to walk out and heard somebody say he missed it, of course I didn't believe it but after checking I found out it was true. Then when T Brown scored again the crowd was unbelieveable. I could swear I was in New England.

This is nothing personal against individual people because I do see many people screaming and yelling their heads off, but I can tell you It was a very sad feeling to know you were in the home stadium and the other teams fans were more vocal.

Another example I will give is the Bills game last year, after Fiedler threw the INT for a TD there was a mass exodus for the exits, (I staggered to the Bathroom right after that ) and when I looked out over the edge Icouldn't believe the crowds of people that were leaving, you would think the game was over, and worst part about it the Fins were still winning.

I know alot has to do with the fact that most opposing team fans are willing to travel to Miami for a game because of the location but it still sucks.

There were more Pitsburgh fans there last night than Miami fans, or at least it looked and sounded that way on tv. Man everything about this team is an embarrassment this year. Feely for that second rounder looks pretty dumb now doesnt it? It will be a first pick in the second round. Tell me that pick wouldnt have been nice to have to fill one of the many, many, many, needs we have. I'd love to have that pick back.....Feely has too little experience playing the position as we all know. Will the team, fans, coaching staff, have the time to wait around for this bum to learn how to play QB? Are we all willing to wait for him to catch up, making up for the lack of experience playing in high school, college, now the pros? Will our aging defence be alive to even see it? Chambers, Booker, MacMichael will all be gone by then as well. Free agents.....ha ha. NO one wants to come here now. We are all a laughing stock of the league. I love this team and we are in deep here. A mess like none other I have ever seen in Miami. Who is responsible? Who should be held accountable for this? And then the big question, Who cleans this freakin mess up? It's a real shame. Damn shame. It doesnt seem that long ago, that I was pumped about our chances to make a splash this year. Now a dreaft pick is all we hope for.
"How do you expect me to cook the meal, if you dont let me buy the groceries?"...Bill Parcells
I have been to only 5 games in Miami being from NJ, but each time I was at the games the fans of the other team have been louder. I was up cheering and yelling and the fans (yes Fins fans) thought I was nuts! I don't get it. I've been to Giant, Jets, Bucc's and Eagle home games and they make us look very sad! But then again, I've only been to 5 home games, you tell me?

I was there last night, as usual, sect. 143, row 12, seat 8. I would judge the ratio of fans to have been about 75-25 Dolphin fans. The Steeler fans had a lot more to cheer about, however.

I get a little tired of all the sermons about what makes a real fan; I pay my money and follow the team and proffer opinions about them whenever possible. That said, I have not supported the front office moves or the direction of the franchise since Shula left. Like any business, I reserve the right to withhold my money as I see fit; if my irritation and protest at management decisions outweigh the entertainment value of going to and watching games.I like our seats and the whole atmosphere of tailgating and choose not to give those up to spite the owner, but I surely do not blame those who may feel they have had enough, or that decide that sitting in bad weather till the late hours watching what really is boring, inept football is not the highest priority. Why should anyone care who shows up? I would venture to say the vast majority of those that complain do not buy season tickets, just whiners.

Miami isn't like Boston, NY, Buffalo.

Who actually MOVES to these places? Nobody I know of.

People who live in Boston, NY, etc grow up there and end up staying there. That's a fact. That's probably one reason there are usually so many diff fans in Miami, people actually move down to FL. Unfortunate but true. . .

I think it's kind of the same for any southern/warm area state.
