Homers or haters....

What exactly is wrong with rooting for your favorite team? I'm a fan of the TEAM, not the players. If you're so hot for Peyton, then go root for the Titans or the Broncos. They're the ones that are going to have Peyton. I'm still going to be rooting for my Dolphins, no matter who we put out there at QB next year. I rooted for them when Marino was QB, and I rooted for them when Cleo Lemon was QB.

I don't care who it is next year. I don't care if it's Peyton Manning, Matt Flynn, Matt Moore, Ryan Tannehill, Curtis Painter, or the ****ing waterboy! I'm still going to be wearing my jersey proud, watching every game, while you sulk in your sad, miserable life because your team didn't sign a player that you want

We all root for this team! What some people fall to realize is we don't take every move this regime makes with blind faith. They put themselves in this position and guess what like two thirds of the triflop before him when Ireland leaves with a Kings Ransom we fans are left shoveling the ****! Talk is cheap w want results!

And I understand that. But to say "I'm giving up on the team" because they didnt sign some player is ridiculous. We all want the team to be the best in the NFL, but even if we aren't, I'm still rooting for them

Well i can't speak for others but i ain't going anywhere! I just have no expectations under the current regime.

YAWN....if you read the OP's posts arguing with me in other threads...you would understand why I said what I did, but I don't expect you to so here goes.....

I don't want Peyton....at least not anymore. I root for the team regardless but don't like where we are headed even in this short offseason. You like rooting for a crappy team? Thats your businiess...this is a forum where we express opinions...my opinion is that we are headed in the wrong direction creating more holes than filling....with no real plan to get better besides trusting a new coach's system where he had a much better skill set of players.

My life is not miserable...but my Dolphin fan life is nothing to be happy about. You enjoy a sub 500 season...I will not. This is why you are a homer...you are happy no matter who they put out there...and don't care win or lose. I guess I have higher standards where I hope my team makes the playoffs more consistently, while we make a SB run. I will not make things up like say our WR core is just as good as GB's or anyone else...and that all our #3 rd draft picks in past years were incredible finds....you live in fairy tale land if you think so.

If you look at my past posts, Ive been more optimistic....but this offseason has already broke me. You can rub a lamp and wish on the stars....but that isn't going to win a championship.

Who said they are giving up on the team?

I mean, I haven't noticed you too much, but other people on here just sound miserable. Like, there's more to life than football. There are bigger things to worry about than what players are on the team. Just root for your team and enjoy the game of football. Don't try to bring the fans down by attacking them for being fans

No man I don't think because they are skeptic on here they are miserable people, just like i don't think blind faith makes someone a drooling gork in real life. It is a fan site for passionate fans to.shate their different views.

We've been a miserable team....and this is a football forum. You are saying on a football forum there is more to life....no ****...but here we are giving opinions on what is going on in football.

Sorry I'm not creating hypotheticals where we trade up to get blackmon for a 3rd...or somehow stealing Romo from the Cowboys...or Manning is coming here is why.... Reality...what a concept.

It would be extremely helpful if we have a strong draft, not just to improve the talent level of the team, but to reverse the PR hits we've been taking. Perception is often times reality. No matter what went on behind closed doors, 90% of the fans around the league think we got dissed by Harbaugh, Fisher, and Manning in little more than a year and robbed in the Marshall trade even though cutting him if we couldn't get any picks at all would have been justified.

IMO, the team does need to speak with one voice and I'm hoping it's Philbin, as Ross and Ireland have disappointed in that regard.

A strong draft class and winning will go a long way to turning the perception of this team around, which will then make it a more attractive place for future coaches and players to want to be.

This board is made up of people who have opinions on the Miami Dolphin football team, with so many people posting everyone has differing opinions which makes for good discussion but sometimes things become personal. If you don't like someone being positive or negative address their points not their grammar or their sad miserable lives. Explain to the person why they are wrong with their argument but leave out the assumptions of what is going on behind that person's keyboard.

Going to the games is part of rooting for your team.. lets see how you like it when you spend your hard earned money by buying season tickets and the dolphins win 1 game at home. I bet you will change your tune then.

I just hate losing. If that makes me a hater, then yea I'm a hater and proud of it.

Well, isn't that exactly the reason we are all here ?? Yeah, some wear 'aqua and orange' colored glasses, some find fault in every move we make. That's the nature of the forum beasts... However, I like the idea that I can come on any of the forums and express what I feel about a situation our team is in. Despite all the bantering back and forth, even the flakiest homers and down-right nastiest haters all love the Fins...otherwise why would you be here ??

I don't want every one agreeing with me, that's no fun. However, I can tell you truthfully, I've come on here and other forums discussing a subject with one opinion and left thinking a different one... That's not a bad thing either... I also learned a long time ago not to take everything too seriously. I've disagreed with folks about one thing or another, I've had some good arguments too. As I said, some have swayed my original opinion, some have not...

I don't lose any sleep over not agreeing with someone, and if I can enlighten someone to my POV, great. I've been wrong too many times to count and right once or twice, but no matter how it shakes out, I've expressed my opinion...which is what we're all here for...

No. I don't like rooting for a crappy team. But I do like rooting for the Dolphins. Am I disappointed when they lose? Absolutely. But I go into every game looking at ways we can win. I don't go into games saying "well theres no way we can win this one."

Am I saying that every move we have made this offseason, and offseasons past, have been great franchise moves? No. Not all of them have been. But I still support the team.

And when we sign Richard Marshall, who is a quality signing, my first response on the thread isn't "lol can he play WR?" or "OH, the master plan is all coming together now!"
