For those who were in the stadium, how was the noise level with the canopy and seats moved closer? Was it actually louder? Granted, we had very little positives to cheer for, but one moment was the punt return. On television, it actually sounded louder than we are used to. Comments from those who were there?

I think the stadium has potential for it. It was very loud remember in the Browns game at the start when the Offense couldn't hear?

I think the renovations made a difference the loudest points of the game today IMO was the Grant run back and the long play to Williams.

I attended the Canes game, which was nearly full. Definitely louder but it felt like an improved version of the original stadium rather than comparable to the Orange Bowl or other influential stadiums I've experienced. Florida State's quarterbacks didn't seem overly bothered.

Even when the Canes lead 13-0 I fully expected them to lose. From the opening snap -- a defiant sack on Kaaya -- Florida State looked bigger, stronger and more talented. Close, but distinct. Miami had surreal effort level but that 13-0 lead was paper mache. Rushing attempts were low and rushing yards were low. The Canes were using a kamikaze blitzing defense and barely avoided surrendering huge plays in the first half. I'm not sure that was evident on TV but it was glaring in person. In the Orange Bowl I would have given a reasonable chance to hang onto the false lead for 60 minutes but it didn't seem likely at Hard Rock.

I will say this, the Hard Rock signs look cool and with the clear panels finally installed the roof has a nice look to it, inside and out. Better than I expected.

The location remains an absolute disaster. That is one of the primary reasons I opposed the patchwork and wanted a new venue elsewhere. Last night's game ended at midnight. I didn't arrive home until 2 AM near Tropical Park. Traffic doesn't move in any direction leaving that stadium. You see lanes in the opposite direction at a flatwheeled stop, your lanes at a flatwheeled stop, and perpendicular lanes at flatwheeled stop. Quite remarkable. The one guarantee is accidents. South Florida genius aggressive drivers love to zig zag between lanes and cause problems even when there's nothing to gain.
