What does Ted Ginn do that's so spactacular. The only thing he has is straight line speed. He isn't illusive. He isn't physical. All he is really fast. I hope he becomes a a great player for us. I just don't see anything great when I watch him play! Hope I'm wrong.

i am holding all my criticism of ginn until after henne plays. pennington isnt the QB that throws it up. before him, throwing to ginn was cleo lemon. i dont know him as much of a deep passer so ginn hasnt had the opportunity to use his great speed. except on special teams which IMO he should loss his duties of because he needs to focus on being a reciever, not a return specialist.

I havnt heard anyone call him spectacular... but he did have a good season last year.. if you want to complain, compare him to the other first round WR picks of the past few years.. hes up there with the best of them right now

"Please Re-insert my EYEballs!"

did you forget that catch. That is why Ginn is so good. He just needs a QB that can throw to him. Not lob to him.

I am not a big Ginn fan...yet...but he does seem to catch the ball pretty well too....

Sparano: Get off Ginn

...When you look at the big picture and see the big plays Ted did make during the course of the season, this guy had two kick returns called back. Look at the big balls he's caught, and the big games he's had. Without Ted we don't have a chance to be where we were.

well id like to see him bulk up just a little so he can handle a little press from the corner while pennington is at the helm.
All you have to do is watch the San Diego game to know that press coverage was no that big of a problem for Ginn. There were many times during that game, specifically on 3rd and long, where Ginn would beat Cromartie press attempt but the ball never went his way. In fact on his key 3rd down reception in the 4th quarter, Ginn not only beat the jam by Cromartie but also the press coverage by Cason as well.

BTW, I would like to see him bulk up.

Hey!

Ginn has shown me that he'll drop just enough to irritate you but has great hands most of the time. I admit he seemed to go out of bounds a few times a bit early but he's like Holt and Harrison who always take the easy way down. Frankly, I don't have a problem with Ginn sharing that attribute with HOF receivers. I also think that a guy who returns kicks & punts his whole life is probably not a 'soft' player. His speed is definitely better served when he runs 'straighter' as opposed to top speed in a few steps and being really shifty. But no player can do everything better than the other players. Finally,it's my opinion that a more strong armed QB like Henne will improve Ginn's production. I'm big time on thaqt boat, I like Penne, but think his limitations really adversely affect Ginn. That will remain to be seen.

i just wish the ball would go his way..

teddy ginn is the ****. I really like him. that's my opinion.

You are just saying that cause he has a Miami Dolphins Tat.

Yes Gin has not be spectacular sometimes I question hes special teams decisions and thougness like his afraid to get hit, but one thing is for sure the freaking guy is FAST really FAST. All the good passes that Penny threw to him if it wasn't in the back if the end zone or a outside pass was under thrown where ginn had to stop or come back and get it, and even then he did everything possible to get to the ball. Ill give the guy a lil more time maybe get better route running skills, and when henne comes in and throws a bomb for 60 yards and Ginn is there to catch it then we will talk what Ginn can really do.

Bill VS Fins at home
First quater first play. best catch I have seen Ginn make.

Yes I did I was actually at that game sitting right Behind the endzone, I think that catch was more accuracy by Penny that effort by Ginn he was doing what he supposed to do run like hell and he looked up and the ball was there, yes it was a great catch, but the one agaist the bill he had to Jump in the air like 3 feet catch get hit and then come down with the ball.

Usually takes a receiver till his third year to blossom, so lets wait to pass judgement till after this year. And I do agree, he needs an arm to get the ball deep to him, that's where he excells. Penny just doesn't have the deep ball arm. Maybe this year with an improved line you'll see Penny have a little more time to get him the ball.
