I did not see the game, have to wait until monday. Early on the game when thomas got pushed back into tannehill, could tannehill do something? Did he move? Was the rest of the line collapsing? Did tannehill not see it coming? Is there a clip we could watch?

There was nothing any qb could have done

There's some clips posted in the ol thread

While being hit he completed a pass and manage to throw it away to avoid a sack....in the end, as much as some are hoping it was Tannehill not performing, it had little to do with him at all and actually was very reminiscent of how we made Atlanta's o-line look in the preseason last year.

Sorry to disappont but there is no way to blame that bad line play on the qb

Thomas needs to be replaced...period.
When I saw Thomas being pushed into the backfield, I rolled my eyes and said,"Here we go again". For the love of God, when is the front office and coaching staff going to make the decision to get rid of this guy?

I'd be surprised if he starts in the regular season. I fully believe Gase is giving him the chance to prove him wrong despite knowing the bull**** player he really is.

On the play where Vernon beat Albert inside, and Tannehill checked down to Landry for a 1-yard gain, he did have three seconds to throw, and he did have J. Cameron open about six yards down the field - with a clear throwing lane. That was the only play that stood out to me. The rest of the time, it was instant pressure, with no apparent options.

Ok, I know I am getting killed for this but, I keep reading he was pushed back into tannehill, to me that means thomas was still between the defender and tannehill. How can he be sacked if that is true? Was he bullrushed and theown to the side? I could also understand if the ends got beat that there is no place to go. Is it possible to post this play?

I suggest you watch the game when you can see it. I will say this, even most people that have been critical of Ryan in the
past really didnt have much to say it was such a brutal representation of OL play as a whole.

Armando and Jackson both described it as such. I think Hyde did as well.

Thanks for the clip, yep Thomas got destroyed, tannehill had no chance.

I'm not a Thomas basher, but I would think when people say Dallas Thomas got bullrushed we've all seen it happen enough the past few seasons that we could picture in pretty accurately in our minds without actually needing to see the official video.

Think of a five year old trying to keep his teenage brother from entering his room.
