First of all, this is the first time in many years that i am actually enjoying the games. We have had very painful losses but which NFL team hasn't.

I think Philbin is a great coach, the Players are buying what he is preaching, we are 2 or 3 players away from being real contenders and the fans want to start the whole crap all over again, IMO that is just plain stupid..

This team is heading forward, this team is making plays, it's actually fun to watch..

For those of you who want the house cleaned and start from scratch for the 10th time in the past 20 years I would say, you have no brains and you have no idea on how to build a team..
I see real teams go through tough times, and stick to the system because that is the one they believe in. The hardest part of building a team to find is a good Qb, and I don’t care what SOME might say, we have our franchise Qb, and guess what, Philbin and Ireland found him.
Most people would say Luck is real deal, well WE beat the crap outta him and to tell you the truth he has sucked the las 2 or 3 games (since he lost Wayne) well, then Luck isn’t that great after all right? (kicking Omar kelly’s Balls here).
Offense is slow I know, I bet if we had a good RG and RT things would be very different.

Kansas City got a new coach... They have 9 wins already this season.

Thats what I want.

Jose stop being so defensive... If you are enjoying yourself this season, it doesn't matter what people think.

I would REALLY hate to have to start over with a new coach and new GM.

I am not all that impressed with Philbin so far, but I want to give him a chance to right the ship.

The jests OC has looked great, our OC has not looked anywhere near as good.

I think the best case scenario is that Sherman and the marine O-lineman coach both go after this season.

If those changes aren't made then I could see us starting over with Gruden. It would be nice if we got Gruden and Gruden

Dude, we won a close game 24-20. How did we beat the crap out of him? He threw for over 300 yards and made one mistake the whole game.

We are a young team with a young QB. We all know it comes down to him.

Everything we are doing right now is mostly better than last year if you consider important stuff like points scored, turnovers, Sacks (defensively), Pass defense, ect.

We know we have a run game. We dont know if our OC is smart enough to stick with it. He is kinda forced to now with OL missing 2 guys and relying on old vet and guys who havent played much with experience.

Our RB's can make noise and Charles Clay is having a good year in this offense. We certainly can upgrade at backup RB, TE, and even get some more depth for future at WR (finding a TY Hilton would be awesome).

The defense is solid through and through. Injuries have plagued us at three key spots in Patterson, Wake, Ellerby for some games. The rookies havent played much at all. But we will soon see some Jamar Taylor tonight and still wonder about Jordan. Jordan has been used very sparingly. I wonder tonight if they set him loose at LB in a package. Two LB's are banged up.

There is alot under the waters surface of what people see in this team. I am not expecting to be great from this point for this year, but if you take a look around at alot of teams and their Qb position and depth, salary cap, this team is in a pretty nice position long term.

The Oline will be drafts top priority by far and in FA. Its too obvious to ignore.

We were also awesome under Tony Sparano then what happened when we had to start playing good teamseverybody started calling for his head.

In other words, they're as qualified as Jeff Ireland.

The problem is the team is "heading forward" at a vastly slower pace then the rest of the league. We just started making significant investments in the tight end position...unfortunately, we were 2 and 3 years behind the rest of the league. The way we build this roster is reactive, never proactive. Want another example? Everyone saw how terrible Clabo is, we saw it for weeks. What did this front office do? Not only did they wait until the rest of the league discovered his weaknesses, they waited until after our bye week to do anything about it. Coincidentally, that was after teams like the Steelers and Ravens made low cost trades with potential big rewards. We were left scavenging for strippers...err, sorry, McKinnie.
I wont even get into how our team is a mismatch of conflicting talents(example: Wallace needing a strong arm qb who extends plays, while Tannehill is a quarterback who needs his wr's to be savvy route runners with consistent hands).

It took Ireland 5 years to find said quarterback. Which is not to say he hasnt invested in quarterbacks, he did choose Chad Henne over Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco. He burned a 2nd rounder on Pat White. He was more then willing to deal for Kyle Orton before Ross vetoed him. Oh, and while im a big believer in Tannehill, Ireland misjudged the talent in that draft seeing as how Russell Wilson has proven to be the better player so far.

Longevity for the sake of longevity is madness. Ireland suddenly wont become competent when he enters his 6th offseason. The light wont suddenly switch on. He "hits" on his first round picks(though thats debatable, isnt that right Jake Long?), but he doesnt do crap for the other high rounds. And Joe Philbin is nothing special. Hes alright in some areas and not so good in others. And he apparently has no earthly idea what happens in his own locker room. If he isnt anything special, why should we handicap a future regime by insisting he stay? Why waste the time?

'd at the "10th time in 20 years". I assume your counting interim head coaches like some on this forum? If so: :sidelol: Absolutely love how people on this forum push the notion that "Ireland wasnt the real GM because he didnt have final say!" but count guys who sub in for a few games as a completely new regime.

And for your final thought: why in gods name do you believe this front office can fix our offensive line?

I agree. This regime does get some talent for the team, but never enough, and never in the right positions when needed. And, why keep a coaching staff that isn't moving the team forward? All I need to see I saw in the game against NE. Miami was dominating in the first half. Evidently, this means that the team has sufficient talent on the field to beat Brady and the Pats. In the second half, NE makes adjustments and comes back to win. Miami failed to make the adjustments needed to counter NE's adjustments and lost. Miami was out-coached, and that wasn't the only game where the offense and defense failed to add to or hold a lead in the second half. The 4 wins have been due to a few big plays made by a few players, and IMO the coaching staff only deserves minimal credit.
