I love that we did so well and that we're going to the playoffs. Anything we do there is gravy- it's like the pro-bowl to me. But by far the best accomplishment for me is watching the stinking jets begin their downward spiral, and being the spark that started the fire! I remember when they went crazy in free agency thinking, this could be trouble, or it could come back to bite them. When they gave up a 2nd round pick, and a veteran accurate QB, for a 38 year-old, perenniel retiree, I knew they were creating a house of cards.

Now they've fired their coach, and the qb is making his predictable yearly noises about retiring and expecting everyone to beg him to stay. But he ain't in Green Bay- his teammates are calling him distant, all but blaming their losses on him, and even saying he should have been benched!! So, no coach, probably no qb, a rookie that they basically don't believe in and have given a year sitting behind the anti-mentor, and a team that is airing it out in the press. Oh, and the owner wants Favre back. They had a decent enough year to not draft high, plus they have a deficit in picks. Plus they look like the worst job out there for the potential coaching candidates. Hee, hee.

Hard to believe there are still some Favre defenders on jestoutsider and pukegangbang forums who maintain they would have signed him and released CP just like they did if having to do it over again. These morons can't understand that in 3 out of the last 4 years, BF actually stunk up the place in every meaningful QB stat... and last year, his only exception, when it counted most in PO OT, it was again Bret being Bret. That's from age 36-39. Who in their right minds could believe he's gonna improve at 40?? Also a bunch of them are salivating over the possibility that Parcells will opt out and end up not GMing, but coaching for them. Talk about delusional! Tuna would ever coach with Tannenbaum making the decisions, right? Tuna would put up with Woody foisting a broken down QB on him in order to sell PSLs, especially after TO, sure! It's pretty funny watching them deconstruct. Ditto the now-stripped of hope Jills with Jauron's signing, and the whiny Cheatriots being left behind with an 11-5 record. This is a wonderful time to lurk on AFCE boards.

There were Jet fans at Buffalo Wild Wings at the game one opener with shirts that said "Got Brett?" I enjoy imagining that guy watching Week 17's game.

yeah that was nice, whooping the Jets, knocking them and NE out they Playoffs, causing their coach to get fired and all the disturbance in their locker room....It seems they are heading for some of what we had been experiencing over the last 7-8 years....Especially since they have no QB even if Brett returns.

It's funny hearing Thomas Jones pointing the finger at Favre and not watching these clowns taking responsibility for their own failure. Should be a fun offseason. Maybe Clemons is ready to take over at QB again.

Watching the Fins win!

I kept playing SportsCenter over and over last night and even got my wife to watch for a bit just to hear them crush the Jets and Favre! She doesn't care a thing about football but HATES Brett Favre and Tom Brady...God I love her! Thomas Jones was killing Favre and it was like hearing the angels sing. Watching the Jets implode is almost as wonderful as watching the Dolphins explode into the NFL Elite.
