I love that we did so well and that we're going to the playoffs. Anything we do there is gravy- it's like the pro-bowl to me. But by far the best accomplishment for me is watching the stinking jets begin their downward spiral, and being the spark that started the fire! I remember when they went crazy in free agency thinking, this could be trouble, or it could come back to bite them. When they gave up a 2nd round pick, and a veteran accurate QB, for a 38 year-old, perenniel retiree, I knew they were creating a house of cards.
Now they've fired their coach, and the qb is making his predictable yearly noises about retiring and expecting everyone to beg him to stay. But he ain't in Green Bay- his teammates are calling him distant, all but blaming their losses on him, and even saying he should have been benched!! So, no coach, probably no qb, a rookie that they basically don't believe in and have given a year sitting behind the anti-mentor, and a team that is airing it out in the press. Oh, and the owner wants Favre back. They had a decent enough year to not draft high, plus they have a deficit in picks. Plus they look like the worst job out there for the potential coaching candidates. Hee, hee.
