How do you feel about putting Misi at his old position and starting Jordon tripp? Are any of these young LBs ready for significant playing time

i don't think you can start any of these rookies this year...unless you have to...long term though i think misi moves back to strong side olb...he's not a every down mike and this team needs one...i'm not sure tripp is either but it's too early to say with him...i saw some solid things from him but no real read and diag and at mike that separates guys...

miamis gonna pay the price this year for it's lbs...once teams game plan to get after them especially if we dont get them in long yardage conversions opportunities it's gonna be clock eating drives against us...but on the bright side at least it looks like right now the offensive gameplan is gonna be legit...i'm stoked about the offenses potential scheme wise...it feels intuitive for once

Not saying much but Dallas Thomas was night and day from last year. Not much else to add except I loved the run blocking on passing plays.

:bobdole::bobdole::bobdole: i hate copy and paste...

I found this line to be hilarious.

Told you we needed Skov.

Seriously, I wonder how Skov is doing. Where did he go, Oakland?

In his media availability Misi made a point that LBs tend to benefit from film prep. Not sure if its a good point but I'm still not gonna freak out about the LBs yet, though I don't think they're in any danger of going all-pro this season.

wherever skov is i'm sure he looks limited...

Seriously, you know our LBs blow. LB is our worst unit. Our current starting LBs might be worse than our starting OL was last season.

Our best players at LB are on the bench right now.

Skov is in SF. In his first preseason game, he played 40 defensive snaps and 7 special teams snaps. He registered two assisted tackles.

Apparently Carradine showed pretty well but had some issues with the run game. But he registered a sack and something like nine tackles in his first game in 20 (?) months. Apparently Jimmie Ward looked great too. Coaches have high praise for Ward.

BTW, really nice work. I agree with your points on the offense. Lazor seems like a good fit with the group of players we have. I don't think there's a question about fit. Tannehill fits this scheme, as does Miller, Landry, Clay, Wallace, Gibson - it should bring out the best in all of them. Is there best (or near-best) good enough? I left Matthews out. He should look good in this system.

Should we expect our linebackers would be good.
Ellerbee below average every year in NFL at but one
Wheeler basically he same
misi never played MLB but our genius staff decides what the hell

i watched the san fran game last night...skov looked like a b/t the tackles player...i doubt he's a 3 down lb...pretty much what i though of him as an athlete...his teammate chase thomas looked like a maxed out athlete in college and he played like one as did the skins 2nd round pick this year...carradine showed some raw talent for sure...but he played scrubs...still the talents there for sure...ward looks plain small but scuttlebutt is he's got a real shot at the nickle job...got 2nd team run...if you got a high end slot i think you attack it...the mike backer from wisconsin that i said was such a hard grade borland showed instincts but he also showed what i thought small at the poa and struggled in coverage as a 3 down backer...it was just the first game though for him

jon martin looked soft playing with the rest of that front it's almost like his games not a fit but he lost physically enough for that tough team but i could see him getting some run in extra ot packages etc

his games soft...

Wut R Jon Martin?

i can also tell you i watched 12 teams play so far and the rb talent some of those teams have trumps ours by a mile...

benjarvis green ellis looks like has been supplanted by jeremy hill in cinci it wouldnt surprise me if the bengals cut him but i dont' know his salary info and its not a real fit for us

lorenzo talieffero for the ravens i'd cut daniel thomas right now for that...that kid looked good the other night...4th round pick for the ravens i wanted him he's damn sound in pass pro also at least at the senior bowl but he showed some burst and pop i didn't expect

tons of rbs first year too making waves
