Hoops scoops...fins patriots

That is the biggest win we have had since I have been old enough to care...no crutches no flashes in the pan...just a qb saying I got you guys jump on my back...

I feel like we hit the lotto

I feel the same way Hoops. And it feels really, really good to feel that way again.

No real concern for his deep ball accuracy issue? I think if he is able to get that under control, and complete freaking 1 out of 3 of those passes, he's turning into one of the best QBs in the league. Not just young, but overall period.

Looks great.

I'm starting to see the 'take charge' mentality that I had been waiting for. His passing precision is absolutely stellar. The ball goes where he wants it to go. Give this guy a good OL and we're going to have a Green Bay South offense that will become the backbone of this team.

He still has tunnelvision, and he still has quite a few areas upon which to improve. But, this kid is legit and is growing into his pristine set of tools. I'm very pleased ... and hope he keeps it up.

Con'grats, Hoops. Sweet vindication.

What's amazing is this: Some football guys (perhaps guys that played/coached the position) on here are not surprised by what happened today. We've been calling it since the end of last year -- that we have a franchise QB in RT, he just needs weapons and protection. Even without great weapons and with a thrown-together OL -- he owned NE. Best game against the best, at crunch time -- this after facing straight up a desperate Steeler team in their place! Wow. Best two games of a Miami QB since Dan the Man.

And indicative of what you and some others could clearly see. And told ppl before it happened.

That ain't luck, folks. Talent and knowledge.

One of the beat writers was on WQAM earlier this week and was saying that Tannehill is really leading in the locker room and the players are following him.

Cool Hoops but once you come down off that high come on give us a write up. You skipped the the Pitt game last week and I really enjoy reading your input good or bad.

Philbin deserves a ton of credit...even the call today to go for it on 4th and 5...that's called stones...they knew that with our cb issues stopping the pats on downs was gonna be an issue we had to take the chance...that said the play call was probably as ballsy a call as I've seen in a while...hell of a play by clay to make a guy miss and tannehill to drop his throwing arm to get it around the off edge defender...

We played a lot of off coverage 8 yards off with our cbs once our starters went out and Brady attacked will davis In off coverage to no end...the only good thing I can say about that was he didn't allow any rac cause he was worked over by route running repeatedly...basically wore a target...

We cannot afford to go forward with what we finished with at corner...so grimes and or Carroll need to suit up...you just can't hide your corners in our scheme vs a good qb anyways...

Good thing for us we aren't playing any the final 2 weeks...

I still can't believe we beat the patriots and Tom Brady with Will Davis and Jimmy Wilson our starting boundary cbs and this Thomas kid that's been here like 3 days in the slot...no amount of pass rush can offset that if a team has a chance with a good qb to scheme to attack it...

All 3 of those guys will get torched in those positions vs quality wrs right now at least

A couple things puzzled me today, the loose coverage at the line of scrimmage towards the end. We were getting toasted all day. Why not tighten up? If brady hits the deep ball, so be it, we were giving up 60-80 yards each drive anyways.

The abandonment or lack of running the ball. We won and got the job done but it just seemed like we were having success with the run but gave up on it when we could have put the hammer down. It just seemed too predictable for my tastes.

My god , can thigpen get any worse?

The off coverage was a function of not trusting those corners at all in that scenario...coyle had no choice...pats saw it and killed it...this team also knows that will davis especially is not a sure tackler so give him as much space as you can to rally to the ball and tackle...even though you are giving up easy 8 plus yard completions all over the place...

Face it fellas the kid wears a target...if teams get to scheme for him all I can say is yikes...that said he's best In off coverage...he's way too finesse and lacks strength to play a good press...

Also when you get into a Thomas in the slot and Wilson on the boundary and will davis the other boundary you just can't help all of them...so you play off with the boundary guys and let your safeties help out elsewhere...that and you play a lot of zone and we gave up the long td in just that to Edelman I think it was

Brady is so damn good at seeing things pre and post snap...even when he has to immediately just get rid of it he reads it exactly right...ball may be on the ground as in he doesn't have time to throw it with accuracy and footwork but damn are the reads good...that's what makes him so good...part of it at least

Tannehill has those same qualities he just doesn't process it that fast yet...but he's way way beyond where he should be at this stage pretty much across the board...

His ceiling is sick

Will Davis probably led the team in tackles he was targeted so much. I liked the kid in camp but no way he's a starting cornerback yet.
Hope Grimes and Carroll can go next week.

lots of people are on mike Sherman again for playcalling. I think he did a masterful job, the balance of run vs pass with the misdirection runs fake WR reverse after the Wallace reverse worked. I really like the aggression of that deep pass to Wallace. he was open the oline just didnt hold up
