Hoops scoops...fins patriots

lots of people are on mike Sherman again for playcalling. I think he did a masterful job, the balance of run vs pass with the misdirection runs fake WR reverse after the Wallace reverse worked. I really like the aggression of that deep pass to Wallace. he was open the oline just didnt hold up

Yeah...we had that...McKinnie just got beat...

I was yelling at the tv on the Wallace td once I saw that safety creeping up for tanny to take a shot on 3rd and 2...and sure enough he threw a damn laser on the in cutter...you guys should take a look he sees it very early presnap but he takes another look before the snap to make sure that safety stayed there and hes got that route...so basically he checked his presnap read once then checked it again before taking the snap and once he saw that safety was still snooping up in the box gashed em...and threw a freaking rope

One thing I'd like to see us get away from is the flexed egnew snaps I saw tonight...he just doesn't separate from coverage and every throw is gonna always be damn tight...I like our options more with a Mathews on the field for instance...egnews balls are always tightly contested...I just see people jumping those balls...they were damn tight today

This quote by hoops had me rolling sorry.......

Yea, when a QB gets a 120 QB rating in the game, I think you can say he must have done some good things.

Qbr is upto 87 for the season now.

Tannehill went into a blizzard and tossed 3 TD to beat Pittsburgh in Heinz field last week.
Tannehill tossed three more, including a game winner with a minute left versus a team that simply doesn't lose in December.

This kid is the real deal.

We spread the ball around to everyone who could catch a pass. That's a sign of a good QB play, all 5WRs, 3 TE's and 2 RBs caught passes, that's how you beat good teams throwing the ball to everyone.

I guess I should be fair and point out that tannehill almost got baited once today and it would have been a serious momentum changer...the pats blitzed a wide player once and tannehill went immediately to his hot on the wide left like you would want your qb to do basically throw it back into the vacated area...the ball was tipped by the wide rusher and it was a good thing for us cause the pats were slipping that inside lb right underneath it trying to bait the qb....no doubt In my mind balls not tipped that's a pick or at least a damn good undercut from the inside opportunity for the lb...

Teams know his presnap reads are damn good like really damn good and he's not gonna throw it into coverage post snap off those looks so they are trying to dial up some post snap packages to rotate into his presnap proper looks on where to go with the football...

Other than that bait play which will take time and probably some trial and error for him to start to feel the d's intentions he was spot on all night...balls into tight windows all over the place...inside the numbers outside the numbers and down the seam...elite level qb play

He is playing like a boss of late. He has to hit the deep ball though. Or we need to teach our receivers not to get wide open because he would rather thread them in!

I was actually pretty happy with MS's playcalling today overall. Nice balance, commited to the run so the PlayAction woudl be effctive, got aggressive when needed, etc. Wish he would have called one running play during the set of downs when Thigpen scored. With the TOs we had we could have safely taken the clock down a bit before scoring. However, that is nitpicking, and in the heat of the moment, he probably just took advantage of what was given.

We just need our OL to be 1/2 second better with protection and we'll see a lot more of these deep hookups come together. Probably not going to happen until next year.

We actually have seen some motion with the wrs to Id coverage and get clean releases the last 2 weeks...not anything all that in depth or intuitive but motion none the less

Was nice to see

Just throwing this out there, anyone remember when Ryan Tannehill didn't have a 3 TD game under his belt and that was the end of the world?

Yeah.
