I've said this before and Harped on it the last 2 years even but it is time miami played a no huddle offense...I don't know if you've been paying attention or not but I have and Ryan tannehill has played a top 10 NFL league wide qb since week 3 of this season...his decision making and presnap reads and post snap read option decisions with the football given it is the one part of our offense that requires post snap decisions other than progression reads have been spot on...

the Eye discipline has been there...the last td vs the Broncos was a perfect example of this...if he doesn't hold that middle safety with his eyes before coming to Landry for the td in the space route inside that ball is picked and returned for a td...the eye discipline is what creates the space vs a read qb eyes all the way not responsible for anyone single safety...

but more than that tannehill has beaten the blitz at a elite level of late...as I have illustrated in the bills scoops knows how to set up his protections and is an accurate move the chains qb who doesn't bail out or force things when caught in a bad play...bottom line folks is the qb is ready...

and i i got news for ya this defense has proven it isn't good enough to shut down legit offenses in tight games and if you think that's gonna change in the last 5 weeks or postseason think again...miami needs to rely on its ever improving offense...what better help to the d than playing with tempo and attacking teams with it on offense and allowing this defense to play with leads...

No better example than what Philly did tonight...mark Sanchez has been a starter for 3 games in Philly if that run of the mill qb can play in a no huddle up tempo attack with Sheer play volume offense ryan tannehill can not only play in it but carve people up in the process...the Eagles d is not better than Miamis they are opportunistic in that they rely on the o to force offenses to have to try and play a must match on the scoreboard game...I can promise you tonight that had the Eagles played a traditional huddle offense and allowed the Cowboys a chance to catch their breath and sub out personnel the result would have been different and Sanchez warts of which there are many would have shown up full force...instead they got vanilla coverages and easy one on ones and blown assignments and only cause that qb is so run of the mill did they kick as many fgs as they did

I've told you guys this for 3 years now ryan tannehill is another level...yes his game is improving on just about every aspect from defeating quick edge rush pressure stepping up inside to getting the ball out of hand quickly vs instant pressure...this qb is taking his game to the next level...he is as legit as any young qb in the game...and more advanced than his age and experience should suggest...give him the chance to take us from a good team to potentially great and let the offense dictate and carry this team going forward...

in addition a no huddle tempo wears out defenses and helps the run game and the pass protection...we have a weakness at right tackle the kind of weakness that unless the qb overcomes it which he did vs the Broncos can and will beat you...hit teams with that no huddle pace and fast tempo and I guarantee to you those quick immediate pressures diminish...add in our current starting oline has been together for 3 weeks now that is time enough continuity wise considering we worked heavily in it in camp where our team should be ready

does Miami need it vs that jets team??? Nah...but to beat the Ravens and pats who stand in the way of a potential playoff trip and also can save a job for Joe philbin it's time the hc and oc nutted up and went all in...that and the qb has played at a level where they should have trust and confidence in his abilities to execute...add in that in the 2 minute in the past tannehill has excelled and this becomes a no brainer...let the qb do what the legit ones do...carry you

Take the training wheels off...put it in your franchise qbs hands

I was thinking the same thing. I always thought it was just a matter of time but now I'm starting to doubt we ever see it. Anyway, if we are preparing to unveil it this season I hope it comes at home vs Baltimore, catch them offside and wear them out in the heat.

I don't think you need to copy the Eagles either. I would prefer to copy what the Patriots do, mixing up the tempo as it suits them.

I remember us using it more in the preseason and it was looking pretty good. Perfect time to unleash it with this weeks game in prime time.

I actually don't think Lazor has any plans to run the no huddle... or even wants to.

I just don't see it happening.

Well then he didn't learn anything in Philly...but you know even the game announcers couldn't figure out what the difference maker was tonight...and it was 100 percent that no huddle pace of play vs a defense that hadnt prepared for it all week or expected it given how long Sanchez has been the starter...that and the boys offense pressed trying to match the Eagles o...there was a shock atmosphere on that boys bench tonight...like wtf do we do all as a result of that pace of eagle o play...but it's a potential game changer for the Eagles...and despite Sanchez warts may be a division winner and produce a long postseason run

The risk is leaving our avg D on the field wayyy to long.. They have shown they can be worn down

We need to score 40 points a game if we want to make the playoffs and win in the playoffs. We need 8 possessions a game to give a margin of error.
Our scoring drives need to be 4 minutes.
Up tempo is the best way to get the ball on offense repeatedly.
The defense cannot stop a good offense anyway. We must out score them.

We've been hearing about it since Philbin got here and still nothing like we are expecting.... No idea why not. But I don't anticipate it any time soon

There's nothing average about our D.

Manning beat us so what. He's a first ballot Hall of Famer for a reason.

The #1 D in the league just got torched by another first ballot Hall of Famer.

And I agree, I trust Tannehill more than I ever have. I would love to see the no huddle we saw the first drive against ATL.

Doesn't mean he should be scoring a TD on every drive. Our defense IS average and I have zero trust in them to make the one stop that's required to win the ballgame.

Did you watch the game?

What was the score at half?

21-17. Now what?

Thats 2 TDs out of how many drives?

Throw in the 3rd qtr too.

Just because Manning downloaded us in the 4th qtr doesnt make this D average. We're above average, stats say it and so does our play.

That's why you play the full 60 minutes. There's no playoff berths for playing good for 45 minutes.
Good defenses don't allow 22 points in one quarter of play, no matter who you play against. This D had three games where they needed one stop to win the game for us and they blew it three times. Good defenses show up more often than not.
