hoops scoops...jets fins...one last time for the ole gipper i guess

based on talent right now Miami has the edge but I think overall we have the edge based on having the best coach.

Good stuff Hoops,

I think you understand the situation and big picture here because you know everything is tied to Tannehill and he is ready to become great if we just had someone who could see what works and doesnt work week to week and adjust and exactly right! Where was that high temp offense??????

Our two minute offense clicked time and again. You think someone would notice. Philbin though, did not lead in this regard.

But at least now, they are all on notice whether it is done now or next year. Things can change in one year and Cam Newton proved that with Mike Shula.

I would let Soliai and Starks walk. old men. too much money. You can find their replacements for much cheaper these days.

I am looking at 4 signings.

legarett Blount
Mckinney
Grimes
Carroll (if his price is reasonable)

I hate to say it ...Junc is right. Make excuses constantly for bad QB play. He has made strides this year, but he was bad Sunday. I don't know why everyone hates to hear it. Why can we place blame on everyone but the QB? If we win we all praise Ryan at how he grew up, and won us the game. We lose he played horrible its: Wallace slipped, bad O-line, Sherman blows(he does), no running game, Hartline cant get YAC ETC

Wallace slipped bc the throw was too far inside, bad throw. Missed many, many throws in this game. The Matthews drop did not help that's for sure..
The slide short of the sticks is the one that kills me the most. I know Tanny is a tough kid and can take a hit, that means it is an awareness issue...

Just a reminder.

Rex put Sanchez in fourth qtr to get perm hurt in meaningless preseason game.
Rex went to call time out to ice our kicker in first game and did not do it in time and was looking right at the clock. One of the stupidest things i have ever seen by a HC.

It was tweeted that some prognosticator said Tannehills knee was effecting his throws because he was not stepping into them. take it for what its worth. makes sense.

that was b/c of the sham competition he was ordered to have from above.

I have no idea what you are talking about w/ regards to icing your kicker in a blowout game.

Yep, it was b/c Ryan was hurt. he was fine 2 weeks ago vs. NE but injuries were why he still couldn't throw to wide open WRs down the field Sunday.

Honestly you saying you would rather have Sanchez than Peyton totally discredits you.

 the excuse train could start reaching Hennesque proportions at this rate. What was the other excuse I heard yesterday . . . "The reason why Ryan Tannehill can't hit the deep ball is because of Mike Wallace practicing at half speed. If throws off Ryan's timing when Wallace goes "full speed" in the game and he is unable to properly connect on the long ball".

you take a quite out of context. I said obviously I'd rather have Peyton b/c he gets his team to the playoffs every year but in postseason he has been awful and has prevented his loaded teams from winning numerous SBs and the 1 SB he di win he needed everything to break perfectly** and he had one great half all postseason and was carried by his D/run game.

**got to play KC w/ no O, Bal w/ no O, NE where Brady's top 2 weapons were Reche Caldwell and Jabar Gaffney, then faced a Rex grossman led Bears team for SB

Also can someone name me a second year quarterback that would have won in buffalo underground these conditions;

1.) backs doing nothing - 10 yards total
2.) best dline pinning ears back against the worst oline in the league
3.) Wrs dropping passes left and right ( looking at you Hartline)

The blame for the jets lose is legit, but the bills lose was not his fault.

Look at the end of the day, Tannehill is not a bust and he is not a star. I think right now he is a decent- good qb. He needs to improve on the following:

1.) using his feet to pick up yards
2.) deep ball - for god sakes man
3.) awareness- I don't know how he improves this.

The good thing about the guy is that he fixes problems

Tipped passes at the line- not a problem anymore

Fumbles- I don't think he fumbled the last half of the season

Pocket presence- work in progress but improved.

deflecting blame, the QB was the primary culprit. he had all day to throw, a decent run game(good against our run D) and how many throws did Ryan miss?

Wallace fell on the first pick but Milliner had excellent coverage, it would have been very difficult to complete that pass if Wallace stays on his feet anyway though he may not have been picked. That's football, in the first have Cro slipped a couple of different times which led to completed passes.

great TD, he fared well against the blitz but struggled when we dropped in coverage. 1 great Td is still worth the same amount of pts and 7 pts in 2 games(the 2 biggest games Miami has played in in a long time) isn't going to cut it.

that horse**** QB was by far the best QB on the field Sunday.

The bottom line is if Ryan played close rto his #s Miami is comfortably in the playoffs but his good #s fooled many into thinking he had arrived. he was holding you back w/ the exception of that NE game and his awful play the last 2 weeks cost you a playoff spot. That doesn't mean give up on him, he has the tools to be a successful QB in this league but he has a ton of work to do to become a good NFL QB.

For once I agree... It isn't entirely all RT's fault, but yes he has stalled many a drive this year and last year on his own. I'll stick to my original prediction of him needing at least 4 years total to get it and right now he has another 2 years left before he completely arrives. You just don't bring a 2nd year QB in and expect him to be lights out. When we drafted him he didn't even know how to be a college QB and we're expecting him to come out and be a great NFL QB right off the bat? The talent is there and I personally believe he has the IT factor, he just needs a lot more polishing.
You know what I don't want to see?? Us rip the rug out from underneath him and change the whole coaching staff... We have destroyed all of our young QB's that way and this one is actually better than all of them.

Not sure about Mark_San(hez over Manning thing but don't be shocked if Peyton chokes again. Anyone who saw the Pats game should see Peyton struggles in bad weather ( much rather have Brady) and the weather at his home field and SB in NY doesn't help. Peyton could blow it with clearly the best team in the AFC. Wouldn't surprise to see anyone go into Denver and win on a cold and windy day.

Should have signed Leach or a lead blocker to help with short yardage situations. I said it in the spring and say it now.

Those that did not want a lead blocker because the position was ancient are flat wrong.

What about Javorski Lane. I liked that Dude. I also liked Dansby, oh and Bush too.

So...you'd rather have Buttfumble than Peyton in the postseason because?
