Man what a half he had. 236 total yds and 2 scores. He's proving to be a very good back for a team that actually runs the ball.

Lamar Miller rushed for 175 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries and caught all three targets for 61 yards and one touchdown in the Dolphins' 44-26, Week 7 win over the Texans.
Miller did all of this in the first half, as this game wasn't even as close as the 18-point final difference would indicate. The Dolphins took a 41-0 lead into halftime and rested Miller the entire final 30 minutes. So far, so good for Miller's usage under interim coach Dan Campbell. On his first touchdown, Miller took a screen pass 54 yards to the house before later housing a run from 85 yards away as the Texans' defense couldn't tackle anyone Sunday. Miller now gets the Patriots on Thursday night in Week 8. He's a solid RB1 after Joe Philbin's firing. Oct 25 - 4:26 PM

#Dolphins RB Lamar Miller is now averaging 5.99 yards per carry on the season and 5.50 yards per carry over his last 16 games.

I'd certainly be pleased to see him brought back. Surely he is not a do everything type of back, but what he can do he does very well and he can have a major impact on a ton of games. It's unfortunate that with his great speed and vision for the first cut he makes it appear effortless because so many people think any back can come in and do what he does only better because they might finish the run better. From what I've seen a lot of Lamar's runs get finished 5-10 yards past where backs with less burst and vision finish. Give a compliment in a guy who can run with real power, like we may have with Ajayi and are getting right now with Gray, and you're good.

He's not going anywhere

He is very underappreciated around here. I definitely want him back. But he is a RB. I wouldn't overpay a RB. Regardless of who he is. And I'm a canes fan

I love that we rested him the second half. We'really gonna need him vs ne

I agree that's why I said I hope we can resign him he may be over priced, being good at rushing and receiving, very valuable to teams.

The RB market is a tough one for me to predict because teams certainly know these days that unless you are a franchise RB, win a game single-handedly kind of player, they aren't worth signing to big contracts. Part of me thinks Miller will be undervalued because of this. Then I realize that with his speed, vision, and cutting instincts, surely there are some coaches throughout the league who would pay a good amount of money to be able to utilize those skills, maybe even better than we have done here. Maybe the real value is somewhere in the middle, and I'd certainly like to have Miller signed to a fair contract for both parties.

Signing Miller and Matthews may be too much next season.

time to get some guys to redo their contracts. for the team!

It simply cannot be done. Going to be hard to sign one. Both? Not possible.

Not true. We can save about 25-30 mill next year if we cut a few dead weight contracts and restructure a few.

If Miller is seeking a big time contract like Shady McCoy hell no you run like hell.

But if you can get him for 5-6 a year average, you keep him. He has so little wear on his tires from being underutilized I think he's got 2-3 years old top tier play left in his body.

I've said all along, if he can get to the 2nd level he can really get huge chunks of yards. Until Philbin left, he'd get stonewalled behind the line on every handoff.

This is just a hunch, but I wouldn't be surprised if he took a hometown discount for the Fins... I hope we sign him, he's excellent on and off the field you never hear a peep about him...
