You don't have to watch the whole video, just go to the last 2 minutes, but he thinks we are going bowling this year. I like his confidence, but I'd be very surprised if the season played out like this. Could it happen? yes. But I don't think so.

I admire his optimism, but I think the only way the Dolphins are going to the Super Bowl is if they use Stub Hub or the NFL Ticket Exchange. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

I could win the lottery 40 times in a row (probably more chance of this than the fins winning a ring this year) but I wont

Stranger things have happened (the 1987 Bengals were 4-12, yet the 1988 Bengals won the AFC and almost the Super Bowl; the 1998 Rams also went 4-12 before a 13-3 season in 1999 and a Super Bowl win), but I’d bet a large sum of money that the Dolphins won’t make it to the Super Bowl this year.

Almost everything would have to go right for Miami. Guess you can say that about any super bowl team to some extent.

I think the offense would have to really take off and finally reach Adam Gase's vision. On paper, the offense looks like it should be at least a little above league average. It would need to be quite a bit better than that. The run defense also has to greatly exceed expectations.

One thing the Dolphins have going for them is a lot of young players who could emerge. Plus, the AFC is somewhat up for grabs.

The thing is winning the Super Bowl is really, really hard. It's very easy to say any of the 32 teams outside of the Patriots due to their very long run of consistency isn't going to win it. Seriously, the only safe bet right now would be NE, a few teams will emerge as the season goes on.

I agree, on paper we have as good of a team as any in the NFL. The problem is our coaching, Gase regressed a lot last year but obviously Cutler also had a lot to do with that. Gase is still young and learning, but I believe he has the potential to be great. Burke is the one that really concerns me, and I'm afraid Gase won't know what to do if he continues to struggle. However if Gase and Burke coach great this year, I could see us going all the way no doubt. Still a lot of question marks with those 2, but I personally am very bullish about our talent this year.

Even the Eagles were more of an after thought last year. Dallas was coming off an NFC East title and were clearly seen as the favorite in that division. You just never know what can transpire over the course of the season. My expectation is around 9-7 for Miami.

It is, but there's also a huge luck factor that people, especially fans of the winning teams don't want to admit to. First there's the huge element of being lucky enough to avoid critical injuries, these are obviously impossible to predict hence luck. The Eagles last year were EXTREMELY LUCKY to win the Superbowl, because of 2 terrible mistakes. The first one being the ball that went off the ATL safet'y knee right before halftime in the playoffs, if he makes that easy pick or doesn't miraculously bounce it to one of the Eagles receivers the Eagles most likely lose that game. The second one was Bellicheat's decision to bench Butler right before the game, talk about catching a huge break that imo cost NE the game, because their defense wasn't THAT atrocious all year long until Bellicheat's ego took over. Also look at a team like the last Ravens superbowl winner, only because of a miracle (luck) did Raheem Moore f*** up so epicly. Baltimore didn't even make the playoffs the next year, as I predict with the extremely overrated Eagles this year. All it takes is a little bit of luck sometimes to push you over the top, I think that can be us this year with RT back. The NFL is all about parity now which is great, things change drastically from year to year now.

wow

There really aren't any glaring holes on this roster anymore, the FO did work this off-season. Sure we don't have the 3 big stars a team like PIT has, or the HoF QB's NE and NO have, but our defense is going to be sick and O will be efficient with RT back (please Matt Burke, please!). This is a deep team, that isn't star studded but subtlety dangerous. I knew we were f***** last year the second RT went down. Also, I'm a homer that pretty much always believes in our 53, Go Dolphins!

I agree, I like this team. Biggest worries to me, outside of the most obvious health of RT, is the DT group and the LB group. I feel the DT group is adequate to good with a chance of a guy or 2 being very good. We lost a guy who was elite, I think we will feel this in some way. Hopefully improved LB and safety play lead to a better run defense despite this. For LB I like the athleticism we gained. No more sloths running around out there that's for sure. But Kiko was not good last year and it sure looks like he will be on the field a whole lot. McMillan gets rave reviews on here but I still worry about him being a 3 down LB. I feel many are assuming he has the skillset, and maybe he does, but I'll believe it when I see it considering any scouting report you read on him states he struggles in coverage. Than we have 2 athletic freaks in Anthony and Baker. Well Anthony is notoriously lost and Baker is a rookie. This group has gotten faster but is still a concern to me.

Agree DT and LB are our 2 weakest positions, but even there we have some intriguing talent as you've mentioned. The reason I think this roster is so solid is because we are strong at critical positions such as corner, offensive tackle, and defensive end. A lot of that depends on the development of Tunsil and Harris, but I would much rather have prospects like that to worry about than whoever the F New England brought in at those positions this off-season LOL!
