That's right: Ricky Williams, hard working team player. There's a sentence you never thought you'd read.

The Williams return is a non-issue, anyway. He's an overrated runner who isn't going to have much of an impact on the field. His role as the Dolphins' featured back has been ably filled by Ronnie Brown. And his role as an embarrassing international party animal is now being ably filled by Tara Reid.

Must Flee TV
Dolphins at Buccaneers: The Dolphins committed 18 penalties last week, a franchise record. The Bucs committed 12 penalties. Dolphins QB Gus Frerotte doesn't just telegraph his passes; he sends text messages to the defense with detailed explanations of where he plans to throw. Brian Griese found a new favorite receiver last week: Jets cornerback Ty Law. So this game could include 30 penalties, four interceptions and endless announcer patter about Ricky Williams. Take your children to one of the "maize mazes" instead of watching. They are more fun and less frustrating than games like this

I read this earlier.
This is the problem with some media outlets. They just don't know the sports they are covering. It drives me crazy. It sounds like this guy was just writing what somebody said to him in a bar.

At first I started to look for the guys e-mail to write him. But I decided it wasn't worth it.

But on second thoughts maybe we should flood his e-mail box.

well, is he wrong?

both teams commited A LOT of penalties in the past weeks.

Williams, i believe, is going to be the #2 RB and hasnt played in over a year. and there will be a TON of talk about him throughout the game, reminding us of why he didnt play for over a year.

Gus does tend to hold the ball and tell the secondary where hes throwing, or he just throws it up..... about 5 yards short of the reciever.

so.... is what this guy said THAT wrong? or is was it his tone yall dont like?

or maybe its because he is stating the obvious things about the 2 teams??

The issue I take with it is that he says that Ricky is a overrated back. What does he base that off of?

I take issue's with these statements.

Since when is Ricky consider a party animal. Just because he used to smoke a little doesn't mean you are a party animal.

He has always been hardworking. That is just dumb reporting.

i do see your point on that. but i would guess that since ricky stated he was returning, a lot of people have held the opinion that he would return to his 1800 yards rushing days. while others would say that he only did that for 1 season, and besides that 1 season, his stats are not that great. well atleast not great enough to be thinking of him so highly. also, we dont know how a year off has effected his game. is he better than before, is he worse....

im just saying some people's expectations of him are pritty high. maybe thats why he called him "overrated".
