Hope We Can Get The Game In on Monday Night: Charts Don't Look Good

I consering myself a strong Latin Man, but the second a hurricane threatens I turn into a scared child. I hate Hurricanes, they give me the willies.
Andrew really screwed me up.

If you were in Homestead, I completely understand . . . Andrew was no joke. The fact that the storm happened 19 years ago and still it really is the only major storm we have seen since should let people know we really aren't Hurricane magnets in South Florida . . . they tend to miss us, but its something we need to keep an eye on . . . just in case.

I wouldn't worry too much Nub......It would be one thing if a couple models showed it but the fact that every model shows it going more out to sea it won't be a problem. Been here all my life dealing with this....your trip down will be fine. Enjoy!

The High pressure fronts that lurk in the Atlantic play a part in when the storm will curve. If that front stays strong, the longer the storm will continue to move west and becomes more of a factor. As soon as it eases us, that is when the storm starts to curve.

I honestly wouldn't trust none of the models to be honest. When Irene first formed, the models were pointing at Florida and over time they curved . . . just keep an eye on it, you will definitely no more by Friday.

I can't believe we are on page 5 and nyjunc hasn't found a way to mention sanchez

i remember a few years back that we had two hurricanes do complete circles going over florida and reforming again
Like a big loop was freaky you never know what these storms can do beyond a few days out..

Great Weather Website

The game should go on as planned. Most models have it curving north similar to Irene.

Here is a great site to monitor storms. Check out the the Wunderblog on the right and scroll down to all of the expert posters:chuckle:

This site updates the models regularly. If everything holds as expected, we should have good conditions with a 15mph wind.

Go Fins!

You're right about that.

I live in Southern California. (Left Miami just after Hurricane David 83 I believe?). I just know that if it's close (off the coast at game time) the league's going to postpone it. They can't move it to our bye week because NE's Bye week is not the same time as us.

Can't they move it to Sunday afternoon or Sunday night???

No way it comes here...The east coast above us is gonna get hit again.

From the look of it many here don't know how hurricanes work...
