Show or say anything that he is doing a lot better than expected or else he is gone by 14. Really want this guy. Hopefully it happens.

Maybe you should go over to his house and smash his foot with a hammer. Then we'd be sure to get him.

If his check up shows anything outside of normal healing his draft stock will fall like a rock.

Double edge sword. If the report comes back and says he's doing well he might be selected before Miami picks. However if the report comes back and says his recovery isn't going well would you still want to pick him at 14?

Gurley is a luxury pick. LM did a fine job for us last year and is poised to put up better numbers next year. We have much bigger needs at other positions to be taking a back at 14. That would be foolish. WR, CB,LB, OL. They all should be picked before any HB. If we draft Gurley i will puke.

And if Miller goes down then what? Also Gurley will help with redzone plus short yardage

If he checks out I could see him go in the top 10

I think its too late to jump that high. Teams have already done their research and fell in love with the players they have looked at, also the interviews are all done. I think he may get picked up middle of the first if his health checks out but that will be by a team that was probably looking for a rb anyways, like Dallas. The best he can hope for is to replace Gordon as the first back taken in the middle to late first round imo. We'll see though! Nobody ever knows exactly what the browns will do. They may trade both first Rounders to move into the top 5 to take gurley :D

We can draft a capable back later. We need playmakers at other positions. It would be foolish to throw a 1st rounder at a back when there are multiple players who are far and away bigger needs than a back. There is no way to justify taking a back this early. If you ask me, all this Gurley talk is only to incite interest from teams picking later in the first to want to trade up.

So... You are saying hopefully the check up is bad so that everybody else steers clear and miami is the only team still interested there? Hmmmm... Sounds like terrible logic. Don't we usually criticize the front office for doing what nobody else would do? And now you are hoping that's the case...?

I am warming up to the ideal of Gurley. If he comes in and is AP esq it would be great. That is a big if. Either way if we get quality starters in the first two rounds last like last year I am happy.

Yes we can draft a capable back later.but why not draft best player available.Drafting for need is why we sucked for so long. I love Kendricks but 14 is a reach, Parker while solid is the 3rd best wr .Gurley could be truly elite,Miller in contract year, zero depth behind him.Pareker missed 3 months due to injury. You can pick solid wrs[Dorsett,Strong Agholar,T.Mcbride]LBS[Perriman,Mckinney,Dawson,Heeney]Ive never heard any of those names mentioned as generational players the wat Gurley has.We have never had 2 players thar are the best at their positions on our team at the same time, especially 1 off and 1 def lets take the chance, or we couldcontinue with safe mediocre, average players and let them go in 3 years and draft more average players

Healthy I'm ok with him at 14 but if progress isn't there as it should stay clear

To me Melvin Gordon is just as good as Gurley, but there is never a sure thing at RB, and many guys get hyped up and turn into Trent Richardson.
