I really like David Boston. Hes a big strong physical reciever who is good to have but hes just not looking good. Hes not fighting off that injury. Still seems slowed and hampered. Just concerns me. If we had Boston as the Boston of old he would be a #2 and Booker would be the three. As of now Boston looks like the number 4. Well i just want to see him come along.

Where did you hear/see that he looks sluggish?

Does he look like his old self yet? No. But by all reports, he's been catching some nice balls. Go read Dolphins2005+'s report from tonight.

He's not even wearing that red jersey anymore.

im skeptical, cuz alot of posters seem to think hes going to revert back to his "old self" which was 1998 in the desert. i have high hopes for him, but im trying to be realistic in what i expect from david, to me his is an enigma

boston will be fine...he is coming off a tough injury...give him time...lets see how he looks monday night...

actually, I don't like Boston the person. I truly think Boston has as many personal problems as Ricky (likely more nowdays)

I do like the talent that Boston brings to the field...a lot, a whole lot.

But I have been reading the all the reports so far this TC and he's honestly been VERY inconsistant and consistancy is a keyword for Saban.

This was brought up in a thread yesterday...about the possiblity of Boston being cut. I DO think it's possible because of that inconsistancy but I DO NOT think it's likely because of his skill set and what he can bring if he IS hitting on all cylinders...and he's cheap this year. A lot is going to depend on what Linehan has to say about him though as I think Linehan's word goes a very long way with the Nicktator as far as offensive talent and how it fits into what they want to do. I'm not saying Linehan's gong to make all the offense personel desicions but Saban is going to take what he says very seriously and IF Linehan thinks some of the younger guys have more long-term potential (at a cheap price) with this team than the ones a bit older (and possibly more expensive in the next 2-4 years) then some suprising vets could be cut. When all is said and done, while Saban wants to win this year, winning more often for more years is more important to him than our final record this season.

Blah blah blah...that's a long winded way of saying exactly what I said iin the 1st two sentences of the last paragraph. :D

all of you guys who think that Boston wont blow up this year are stupid stupid stupid.
he is our best receiver other than chambers and he could be 10 times better. ENOUGH.

This statement would be true if you were talking the old David Boston, but the harsh reality is he may never be that player again. You should have seen the writting on the wall when San Fran didn't even want him, and they need a receiver worse than we do. I hope I'm wrong.

We don't have many WRs over 6 foot so I think a taller WR is needed and maybe that's why Danny Farmer (6-3) was kept after Ronald Bellamy was supposedly having a good camp.

Yeah, let`s all just write Boston off now...we`re in the first week of August don`t you know. He`s done, might as well cut him now, and give Welker and Gilmore the reps...Please

Boston's future looks like the future of Marcus Robinson. Both will never be what they once were due to injuries, but they can both be role players. If Boston puts up 600 yards and 4 TDs, I'll be very happy with what the team got out of him.

ETA: Marty Booker is a fine receiver who does not get enough respect here. You guys who are drooling over Boston need to get with the program and understand Marty's game. Marty is not Marvin Harrison, but they're similar in that they sneak up on you and play the position with toughness.

I will take 80% Boston of a few years ago over Welker and Gilmore at 100% today. Boston has all the tools I personally believe he is having some confidence issues along maybe some physical ones but at 100% he is a good as any reeiver in the league. i don't see why anyone would consider cutting him if he's healthy and has his head on straight.

If Boston stays healthy look for him to go better than 600 yards. Of course, somebody needs to be able to get the ball to him.

I'm really hoping that Boston is coming along, I've been following from every camp report and am hoping he's holding up fine. I'm apprehensive whenever I read reports saying he's limping or not 100%, but I'm hoping for the best. He just has to stay healthy, and he shall produce just fine for us this season. I can't wait to see him on the field in a Dolphins uniform.

I bet he will be solid with some flashes of his old self this year. If he stays healthy he will be closer to his old self in 2006 where ever he plays. Remember he's only 25 so if he can have an injury free stretch he's still got a promising career.
