Just my opinion, but I would really like to see the Dolphins get an offensive minded coach. I love our defense, but if we are gonna lose at least we could have fun watching the game, seeing touchdowns being thrown like the old days. :(

CC or Rivera. I know you wanted a Offensive minded coach, but Rivera's defense is sick, and they dont have much of an O there in chitown either. IM still really undecided yet on who I like. Its not up to me anyways though.

Im for CC right now though, with Rivera as 2nd option. Both have alot to prove i believe.

I want either cam cameron or weisnhunt. i live in san diego and i see cam cameron every week and he is defintly one of the top offensive minds in the game and he is not 1 percent like mularkey.

I really geniunely dont understand this mentality.

If someone is a good coach it doesnt matter what side of the ball their background is on.

Defensive coaches promoted to head coach arent always going to be conservative, dinosaur-age run-run-run-punt guys like Wannstedt.

The reverse is not true either. Brian Billick was an offensive coordinator, and has coached a team that has basically won by defense his entire tenure.

And anyway, neglecting one side of the ball or the other in terms of short-term "balance" is not great either.

Jim Mora, Bill Bellichick, Bill Cowhler, or Jim Bates. The four horseman. Pick one Hezzinga!

CC and Rivera. Other options would be Wisenhunt, Grimm, or Caldwell, the Indy assistant and QB coach. I know Indy has talent, but hell that offense is a machine for more reasons than just players.
Rivera is the only real D guy id want. Offense should be our priority. But if we have a good shot at Rivera and it doesnt look good on the offensive front, I would not be upset in the least.

I know that it seems like conventional wisdom that when you have had 5 straight defensive minded coaches without success, and you are coming off a bad season for the offense, that the cure is an offensive minded head coach. But, other than the west coast offensive minds, how many offensive coordinators have gone on to great success as head coaches? And how many of them recreated offensive success with their new teams?

No chance we get BB, thats just fantasy land stuff. Cowher isnt far behind in that category.

Mora sucks, he is way to immature. Combative with players and owner, threw the Falcons team and Mike Vick under the bus totally. Bates is old and we need a long term solution.

We need to search the ranks of assistants and promote "our guy," not "someone elses guy who got fired for not being that good."

I would not mind Rivera but would prefer Rex Ryan if Wayne hired a Defensive specialist

Though, if RR were hired and brought on OC who installed the West coast offense then I would not be happy.

yah it would take a bit to switch the O to a west coast offense, and im not really a fan of the dink plays. but Phily plays well with that stuff.
